2017 In World Lethwei Championship
The year 2017 is the 1st year in the history of the World Lethwei Championship, a Lethwei promotion based in Myanmar. List of events WLC 1: The Great Beginning ''WLC 1: The Great Beginning'' was the inaugural Lethwei event organized by World Lethwei Championship and took place on March 3, 2017 at the Mingalardon Event Zone in Yangon, Myanmar. Background The first WLC event was highly anticipated by the Lethwei fans around the world and took place on re-purposed driving range of the Mingalardon Country Club which was specially built for the event. The weigh-ins for the event were held in Kandawgyi Park in Yangon. After losing his title to Dave Leduc in December 2016, Lethwei superstar Tun Tun Min returned to face British kickboxer Nicholas Carter in the main event. The year 2018 is the 2nd year in the history of the World Lethwei Championship, a Lethwei promotion based in Myanmar. List of events WLC 4: Bareknuckle-King ''WLC 4: Bareknuckle-King'' was a Lethwei event held on February 17, 2018 Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Myanmar's capital, Naypitaw. Background This event marked the first title defence of middleweight Lethwei world champion Too Too. For the occasion, he faced Ukraine's Vasyl Sorokin, who was one of the fastest rising stars in the world of kickboxing. Sorokin had already been in more than 20 major fights and had recently scored a victory over Thai superstar Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee to earn him the title shot. After 5 rounds, Too Too won by unanimous decision over Sorokin and retained his title. World Lethwei Championship Events

Mite Yine ( my, မိုက်ရိုင်း; born April 26, 1992) is a Burmese Lethwei fighter who competes in the World Lethwei Championship's Featherweight division. He is a former Lethwei Golden Belt champion, having won the title in 2015 and 2016. Yine has also represented Myanmar in Muay Thai at the 2013 SEA Games and competitions at the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, winning the gold medal. Aung La Maung Nsang ( my, အောင်လအန်ဆန်း; born on May 21, 1985) is a Burmese-American mixed martial artist of ethnic Kachin descent currently signed to ONE Championship, competing in both the Middleweight and Light heavyweight divisions. He is a former ONE Middleweight World Champion and ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion.
