Bliss N Eso
Bliss n Eso (formerly known as Bliss n' Esoterikizm) are an Australian hip hop trio based in Sydney. They are currently signed to Melbourne record label Illusive Sounds, and are managed and booked by label co-founders Adam Jankie and Matt Gudinski. Bliss n Eso have released six studio albums which include three number 1 debuts on the ARIA Charts. They have also won two ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release for their 2008 album ''Flying Colours'' and for Best Music Video for their 2017 single "Moments". Eso, under his alias Esoterik, released an album entitled "My Astral Plane" in May 2018. Downsyde are an Australian hip hop group from Perth, Western Australia. The group is composed of three members, Optamus, Dazastah and Dyna-Mikes. The group has performed alongside groups including Jurassic 5, Cypress Hill, Grandmaster Flash, The Black Eyed Peas, and The Roots. They also performed with Australian acts like Hilltop Hoods, Resin Dogs, and Koolism. The band has also performed at a number of festivals, including Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass, Rock-It, Falls Festival, Homebake, Good Vibrations and the Southbound Festival. Scott Froml (born 21 August 1987), better known by his stage name Kerser, is an Australian rapper. He has released two mixtapes and several albums since 2009 and his second album ''No Rest for the Sickest'' reached No. 15 on the ARIA albums chart, while the album's tour DVD debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Music DVD chart in 2013. His album '' S.C.O.T.'' reached No. 5 while his fourth album ''King'' was released on 13 November 2014 and reached number 9. Biography Scott Froml was born on 21 August 1987, in the vicinity of Campbelltown, New South Wales. He started his rap career at an early age while living in Campbelltown, rapping with his older brother Aaron (aka Rates) at age 11 and recording by 18. One of his major influences is Tupac. Wonky Pop
Wonky pop was a loose grouping of musical acts that played what the BBC called "quirky, catchy and credible pop", rooted in the eccentric side of 1980s pop music, which was briefly popular in the late 2000s. Artists associated with the genre include Mika, Alphabeat and Frankmusik. Definitions " Wonky" is a British English word meaning unsteady, shaky, awry, or wrong. The BBC reported that the term "wonky pop" was both coined by and is owned by Mika's manager, while ''The Independent'' reported the term was coined by Peter Robinson, founder of the blog Popjustice. The BBC describes a UK wonky-pop club night as involving "cutting-edge pop, dance, hip hop and everything in between"; club organiser René Symonds states that "the iPod shuffle generation will not be limited to one genre and wants a return to authenticity after years of manufactured pop". Pnau
Pnau ( ) is an Australian dance music trio originating from Sydney. The trio, a duo before 2016, consists of the musicians Nick Littlemore (vocals, production), Peter Mayes (guitar, production) and Sam Littlemore (production), with the latter joining in 2016. Pnau has achieved multiple successes with their award-winning 1999 first album ''Sambanova'' and the widely acclaimed 2007 release '' Pnau''. Pnau is also recognised for a heavily publicised apprenticeship under the musician Elton John, who signed the duo after listening to the ''Pnau'' album. Several of Pnau's later projects have had John's involvement, such as the album ''Soft Universe'' and an album of Pnau recreations of Elton John's hits called '' Good Morning to the Night''. ''Changa'' is the fifth studio album by Australian electronic trio Pnau. It was released on 10 November 2017 by the independent label etcetc. It follows their 2012 remix album in collaboration with Elton John, '' Good Morning to the Night'', and is their first studio album since ''Soft Universe'' (2011). It is also their first album as a trio, with vocalist and co-founder Nick Littlemore's brother Sam Littlemore joining in 2016. The album was preceded by the lead single "Chameleon" in November 2016, which reached number four on the ARIA Singles Chart, and number 11 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2016. It features vocals by Kira Divine. It has received over 25 million streams on Spotify and been certified double platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Citizen Kay is an Australian Canberra-based hip hop artist. Citizen Kay's EP ''Demokracy'' was nominated for ARIA Award for Best Urban Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2015. Citizen Kay's debut album, ''With the People'', was nominated the next year. Biography Kojo Owusu-Ansah was born in Ghana and moved to Australia (in 2000) when he was six. He is the older brother of Genesis Owusu. He released this single, "YES!" in 2013 and followed it up the next year with an EP called ''Demokracy'', released in November 2014.
