The Women's Allam British Open 2017 is the women's edition of the 2017 British Open Squash Championships, which is a PSA World Series event (Prize money : 150,000 $). The event took place at the Airco Arena in Hull in England from 19 to 26 March. Laura Massaro won her second British Open trophy, beating Sarah-Jane Perry in the final. The British Open Squash Championships is the oldest tournament in the game of squash. Rachael Margaret Grinham (born 22 January 1977 in Toowoomba, Queensland) is an Australian professional squash player. She won the World Open in 2007, and the British Open in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2009. She reached the World No. 1 ranking in August 2004 and held it for 16 consecutive months. Dipika Pallikal Karthik (née Pallikal; born 21 September 1991) is an Indian professional squash player. She is the first Indian to break into the top 10 in the PSA Women's rankings. Dipika Pallikal came to prominence in 2011, when she won three WISPA tour titles. She broke into the top 10 in December 2012. Early life Dipika Pallikal was born in Kottayam into a Malayali Christian family. She is the daughter of Sanjiv and Susan Pallikal.
