2017 Tour Du Haut Var
The 2017 Tour du Haut Var was a road cycling stage race that took place on 18 and 19 February 2017. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, and was the 49th edition of the Tour du Haut Var. Just as it was in 2016, the overall race victory was decided upon cumulative stage finishes, after nine riders finished both stages in the same time. With stage finishes of second and third, Arthur Vichot took honours in both the general classification and the points classification for the team. Second place in the overall standings went to Julien Simon () with finishes of eighth and first, while the podium was completed by 's Romain Hardy, with two sixth-place finishes. Tom Bohli won the young rider classification for , Franck Bonnamour () won the mountains classification, while the teams classification was won by the . 2017 UCI Europe Tour
The 2017 UCI Europe Tour was the thirteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2017 season began on 26 January 2017 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 17 October 2017 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. Belgium, Belgian rider Baptiste Planckaert (), who scored 1,605 points in the 2016 UCI Europe Tour, 2016 edition, was the defending champion of the UCI Europe Tour. Nacer Bouhanni () won the overall standings for the second time in three years; won the team classification, while France won both the overall nations' title and the under-23 equivalent. Lilian Calmejane (born 6 December 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is best known for winning stages at the Tour de France in 2017 and the Vuelta a España in 2016. Francesco Gavazzi (born 1 August 1984) is an Italian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career Gavazzi was born in Morbegno.
