2017 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The 2017 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season was the franchise's 42nd season in the National Football League, the 20th playing their home games at Raymond James Stadium and the second under head coach Dirk Koetter. On March 9, 2017, the Buccaneers signed former Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson, defensive tackle Chris Baker, former Dallas Cowboys safety J. J. Wilcox (traded to Pittsburgh Steelers), former New York Jets kicker Nick Folk, and veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The team's Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins was rescheduled to November 19 due to Hurricane Irma. Week 11 was originally the two teams' bye week. The National Football Conference – Southern Division or NFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created prior to the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. Nick Folk
Nicholas Alexander Folk (born Niklaus Aleksandre Faulke, November 5, 1984) is an American football placekicker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arizona, where he received first-team All-Pac-10 honors, and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. During his three seasons with the Cowboys, Folk was named to the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He played his next seven seasons as a member of the New York Jets, becoming the franchise's second-leading scorer. Following an unsuccessful stint on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Folk spent a year away from football before pursuing a comeback in 2019 with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Garrison Sanborn
Garrison Sanborn (born July 31, 1985) is an American football long snapper who is a free agent. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Florida State. Early years Sanborn graduated from Tampa Jesuit in 2003 and lettered three years in football as a long snapper, linebacker (junior year) and center (senior year). He won the district championship all three years and advanced to the state semifinals as a senior. He also lettered for four years as a wrestler. His team won wrestling district titles in all four years and won the regional title and placed sixth in the state meet as a senior in the 189-pound class. Tupaimoefitpo "Sealver" Siliga (born April 26, 1990) is a former American football defensive tackle. He played college football at Utah. College career Siliga grew up in a Samoan American family of 13 in West Jordan, Utah and graduated from Copper Hills High School. At the University of Utah, Siliga appeared in 37 games in his three-year career for the Utes and finished with 97 tackles. After his sophomore and junior years, he was awarded honorable mention All- Mountain West. Jacquizz "Quizz" Rodgers (born February 6, 1990) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Oregon State, and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. High school career Rodgers attended Lamar Consolidated High School, where he played for the Mustangs football team. He broke out during his sophomore season with 2,278 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns averaging 9.4 yards per carry. In his junior season, he improved with 2,592 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns. Christopher Michael Conte (born February 23, 1989) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at California. Early life Conte attended Loyola High School, and graduated in 2007. During his time at Loyola, Conte played both safety and wide receiver. Conte was named to the All-Far West team by SuperPrep, and posted 58 tackles with 4 INTs and caught 43 passes for 614 yards and 4 touchdowns in his senior year, as well as helping his team to the CIF Division I title as a junior, collecting 38 tackles and 2 INTs. Joshua Robinson (born January 8, 1991) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football for the University of Central Florida and earned numerous Freshman All-American honors in 2009. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Joseph Kelly Hawley (born October 22, 1988) is a former American football center who played for the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Falcons with the 117th pick in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He retired after becoming a free agent in March 2018. ''Hard Knocks'' is a reality sports documentary television series produced by NFL Films and HBO. The show was first broadcast in 2001, and the current 2022 season is the 17th and 18th. Each season, it follows a National Football League (NFL) team through its training camp and covers the team's preparation for the upcoming football season. Starting with the 2021 season there will be an in season version of Hard Knocks following a different team than the training camp version. The series shows the personal and professional lives of the players, coaches and staff, including their family life, position battles, and even inside jokes and pranks. 2017 Detroit Lions Season
The 2017 season was the Detroit Lions' 88th in the National Football League (NFL), their 84th as the Detroit Lions, and their fourth and final season under head coach Jim Caldwell. The Lions finished with a 9–7 record, the same record they had in 2016, but unlike the previous year, failed to qualify for the playoffs. After starting the season 3–1, they lost 6 of their next 12 games. They were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention in week 16 following their loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. 2001 Arizona Cardinals Season
The 2001 Arizona Cardinals season was the franchise’s 82nd year with the National Football League and the 14th season in Arizona. It was their final season in the NFC East division before moving to their current division, the NFC West. Due to being the only team in the league with a Week 1 bye, the Cardinals were the final team to play their season opener, which was pushed back even further in wake of the September 11 attacks.
