2017 NRL Under-20s Season
The 2017 NRL Under-20s season (known commercially as the 2017 Holden Cup due to sponsorship from Holden) was the tenth and final season of the National Rugby League's Under-20s competition. The competition will start on 2 March. The finals will begin on 8 September and conclude with the final ever match of the competition, the Grand Final, which will be held on 1 October at ANZ Stadium. The Sydney Roosters are the defending champions. The draw and structure of the competition largely mirror that of its first grade counterpart, the 2017 Telstra Premiership. However, the Melbourne Storm will play 10 of their 12 home fixtures at Sunshine Coast Stadium. Other matches will also be played at non-NRL venues, including Langlands Park, Belmore Sports Ground, Redfern Oval, Ringrose Park, Cudgen Leagues, Morry Breen Oval and Central Coast Stadium. Holden
Holden, formerly known as General Motors-Holden, was an Australian subsidiary company of General Motors. It was an Australian automobile manufacturer, importer, and exporter which sold cars under its own marque in Australia. In its last three years, it switched entirely to importing cars. It was headquartered in Port Melbourne, with major industrial operations in the states of South Australia and Victoria. The 164-year-old company ceased trading at the end of 2020. List Of National Rugby League Golden Point Games
The golden point, a sudden death overtime system, is used to resolve drawn rugby league matches in the National Rugby League, Australasia's top competition in the sport. The term is borrowed from the golden goal system formerly employed in association football (soccer). The golden point is used to determine a winner when scores are level at the end of regular time. Prior to its introduction into the National Rugby League competition at the beginning of the 2003 season, normal season games were left as draws; in finals matches, 20 minutes extra time ensued (10 minutes each way), with a replay in the event of a draw. If the scores are level at the end of 80 minutes, five minutes are played, the teams swap ends with no break, and a further five minutes are played. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional Rugby league, rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005 NRL season, 2005. The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL. The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches.
