2017 Monaco EPrix
The 2017 Monaco ePrix (formally the 2017 FIA Formula E Monaco ePrix) was a Formula E electric motor race held on 13 May 2017 at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo before a crowd of 18,000 people. It was the fifth round of the 2016–17 Formula E Championship and the second Monaco ePrix. e.Dams-Renault driver Sébastien Buemi won the 51-lap race from pole position. Lucas di Grassi finished second for Audi Sport ABT and Mahindra driver Nick Heidfeld was third. Buemi won the pole position by recording the fastest lap in qualifying and pulled away from di Grassi until the race was neutralised on the 22nd lap when the safety car was deployed following a collision between Nelson Piquet Jr. and Jean-Éric Vergne on lap 21. 2016–17 Formula E Championship
The 2016–17 FIA Formula E Championship was the third season of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Formula E (FE) motor racing. It featured the 2016–17 FIA FE Championship, a motor racing championship for open-wheel electric racing cars, recognised by FIA, the sport's governing body, as the highest class of competition for electrically powered vehicles. 25 drivers representing 10 teams contested 12 ePrix, starting in Hong Kong on 8 October 2016 and ending in Montreal on 30 July 2017 as they competed for the Drivers' and Teams' Championships. Jean-Éric Vergne (born 25 April 1990), also known as JEV, is a French people, French Auto racing, racing driver who competes in Formula E, the FIA Formula E Championship with Dragon Racing. He became the 2017–18 ABB Formula E Champion, after clinching fifth in the New York ePrix in 2018, and he became the first Formula E driver to win two consecutive championships after his repeat success in the 2018–19 Formula E season, 2018–19 season. He competed in Formula One for Scuderia Toro Rosso from 2012 to 2014, and was a Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari test and development driver from 2015 to 2016. The 2015 Moscow ePrix, formally known as the 2015 Formula E Moscow ePrix, was a Formula E Auto racing, motor race that took place on 6 June 2015 on Moscow Street Circuit in Moscow, Russia. It was the ninth round of the 2014–15 Formula E season. The World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) is a major organ within the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile's governance structure.
