2017 Merlion Cup (basketball)
The 2017 Merlion Cup was the 11th edition of the Merlion Cup, an invitational club basketball tournament organized by the Basketball Association of Singapore. The Adelaide 36ers from Australia won the title by defeating the defending champions Shanghai Sharks from China, 101-81, for their maiden championship, and the second for Australia, with Melbourne Tigers winning it in 1994. Kallang
Kallang is a planning area and residential town located in the Central Region of Singapore. Development of the town is centered around the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore. Kallang Planning Area is bounded by Toa Payoh in the north, Geylang in the east, Marine Parade in the southeast, Marina East in the south, the Downtown Core in the southwest, Rochor, Newton in the west, and Novena in the northwest. Nicolas Lake Scott Minnerath (born August 11, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Shabab Al Ahli of the UAE National Basketball League. Bryan Keith Davis (born December 31, 1986) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Halcones de Ciudad Obregón of the CIBACOPA. John Murphy "Pamboy" Raymundo (born May 30, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player who plays for the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Andre Emmett
Andre Emmett (August 27, 1982 – September 23, 2019) was an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and was named a consensus All-American as a senior in 2004. He had brief stints in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Memphis Grizzlies and the New Jersey Nets after being selected in the second round of the 2004 NBA draft.
