The 2016–2017 Israeli Basketball Super League, for sponsorship reasons Ligat Winner, was the 63rd season of the Israeli Basketball Super League. Maccabi Rishon LeZion was the defending champion. Avraham "Avi" Ben-Chimol ( he, אבי בן-שימול; born May 22, 1985) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Premier League. He was the Israeli Premier League Assists Leader in 2018 and 2019. Simone Pianigiani (born 31 May 1969) is an Italian professional basketball coach currently acting as a team consultant for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. Coaching career Pro clubs Pianigiani was appointed the head coach of the Italian League club Montepaschi Siena before the 2006–07 season, and led his team to the Italian League championship in all six of his seasons on the bench. Kevinn Lamar Pinkney (born October 10, 1983) is an American professional basketball player.
