2017 Hungarian Ladies Open
The 2017 Hungarian Ladies Open was a tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 21st edition of the Hungarian Ladies Open, and an International-level tournament on the 2017 WTA Tour. The tournament was upgraded this year from its 2016 status as a $100,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Océane Dodin (, born 24 October 1996) is a professional tennis player from France. WTA rankings, Ranked by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), she reached a career-high of 46 as a singles player in June 2017 and No. 375 in October 2017 as a doubles player. Irina Falconi ( es, Falconí; born May 4, 1990) is an Ecuadorian-born American former tennis player. She moved to Manhattan, New York, as a toddler. Her highest WTA singles ranking is world No. 63, which she reached in May 2016. Her career-high in doubles is No. 70, set in June 2013. Andrea Petkovic (, ; born 9 September 1987) is a German former professional tennis player. Born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian father Zoran and Bosniak mother Amira, she moved to Germany at six months old and turned professional in 2006 at the age of 18. A former top-10 player, Petkovic reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 on 10 October 2011, becoming the first German female player ranked inside the top 10 since Steffi Graf in 1999. Barbora Štefková (born 4 April 1995) is a retired Czech tennis player. Štefková had a career-high singles ranking of world No. 154, achieved on 27 February 2017.
