2017 Formula 3 Brasil Season
The 2017 Fórmula 3 Brasil season was the eleventh and final season of Fórmula 3 Brasil and the fourth since 1995, replacing the Formula 3 Sudamericana series as the highest-profile single-seater championship on the continent. In this season F3 Brasil will no longer with Stock Car Brasil and will be part of Porsche GT3 Cup Brasil event. Drivers and teams The following Brazilian teams (with the exception of British-based Hitech) and drivers are registered. All cars are powered by Berta engines and run on Pirelli tyres. This year Academy Class replacing class B. Autódromo José Carlos Pace
The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, is a motorsport circuit located in the city of São Paulo, in the neighborhood of Interlagos. It was inaugurated on 12 May 1940, by the federal intervener Adhemar de Barros. The traditional name of the circuit and of the neighborhood itself comes from the fact that it is located in a region between two large artificial lakes, Guarapiranga and Billings, which were built in the beginning of the 20th century to supply the city with water and electricity. In 1985 the circuit was renamed to honor the Formula 1 driver José Carlos Pace, who died in a plane crash in 1977. Attached to its facilities there is a Kart circuit named after Ayrton Senna. Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba (also known as Autódromo de Pinhais and Circuito Raul Boesel) was a motorsports circuit located in Pinhais, Brazil. It has been host to the World Touring Car Championship, TC2000, Fórmula Truck and Stock Car Brasil racing. Until 2013 the circuit has also been host of the South American Formula 3 Series, namely the Formula 3 Sudamericana. The circuit also formerly hosted the Brazilian Formula Three Championship.
