The 2016–17 Slovenian Second League season was the 26th edition of the Slovenian Second League. The season began on 7 August 2016 and ended on 27 May 2017. Dob Sports Park
Nogometni klub Dob ( en, Dob Football Club), currently named Roltek Dob due to sponsorship reasons, is a Slovenian football club based in the town of Dob near Domžale. They competes in the Slovenian Second League. The club was founded in 1961. Stadium Dob plays at the Dob Sports Park ( sl, Športni park Dob), which is located in Dob. The stadium has a seating capacity for 300 spectators. Dob Sports Park includes the main stadium and a training field with natural grass. There is also one smaller field for younger selections, covered with artificial turf. In 2014, the stadium was partially renovated, as it received another training field and the fence around the main field was replaced. Brežice
Brežice (; german: Rann ) is a town in eastern Slovenia in the Lower Sava Valley, near the Croatian border. It is the seat of the Municipality of Brežice. It lies in the center of the Brežice Plain ( sl, Brežiško polje), which is part of the larger Krka Flat ( sl, Krška ravan). The area was traditionally divided between Lower Styria (territory on the left bank of the Sava River) and Lower Carniola (territory on the right bank of the Sava River). Anton Žlogar (born 24 November 1977) is a retired Slovenian footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Žlogar played for Primorje, Gorica, Olimpija, Paralimni, Anorthosis Famagusta, AC Omonia, Alki Larnaca, and Kras Repen. Dobrovo
Dobrovo (; it, Castel Dobra) is a settlement the Littoral region of Slovenia, close to the border with Italy. It is the administrative centre of the Municipality of Brda. It lies on the road that connects the Friuli Plain and the Soča Valley. Dobrovo Castle is a castle in the settlement built around 1600 on the foundations of an older structure. Ankaran
Ankaran (; it, Ancarano ) is a town in the Municipality of Ankaran, located near the border with Italy, in the Littoral region of Slovenia. The 2016–17 Slovenian Third League began on 20 August 2016 and ended on 28 May 2017. Competition format and rules The 2016–17 Slovenian Third League was divided into four regional groups with a total of 52 participating clubs. Three groups (i.e. North, Centre, East) were composed of 14 clubs, while the West group had only 10 clubs participating in the competition.
