2016–17 Nottingham Forest F.C. Season
The 2016–17 season was Nottingham Forest's 151st season in existence and 9th consecutive season in the Championship since promotion in 2007–08. In addition to the Championship, the club participated in the FA Cup and the newly rebranded EFL Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017. On 18 May a change of ownership of Nottingham Forest Football Club from Fawaz Al-Hasawi to a Greek consortium, led by Olympiacos owner and shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis, was completed as Fawaz Al-Hasawi sold 100% of his stake in the club for an undisclosed sum. Marinakis completed the deal in partnership with Sokratis Kominakis, and the duo immediately announced the appointments of leading sports lawyer Nicholas Randall QC as Chairman, Olympiacos' Managing Director Loannis Vrentzos as CEO, and David Cook, formerly of Celtic and Everton, as Chief Commercial Officer. Nottingham ( , locally ) is a city and unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, England. It is located north-west of London, south-east of Sheffield and north-east of Birmingham. Britt Curtis Assombalonga (born 6 December 1992) is a Congolese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Watford and the DR Congo national team. He played in the Football League for Watford, Southend United, Peterborough United, Nottingham Forest and most recently Middlesbrough. Eric Lichaj
Eric Joseph Lichaj ( ; born November 17, 1988) is an American former professional soccer player, who is currently the head coach of the FC Cincinnati U19 team. Club career Eric Lichaj is the third son of Stan and Ann Lichaj, who were both from Nowy Targ, Poland. He has two older brothers, Andrew and Mark Lichaj. At the age of 14, Lichaj joined the soccer residency program at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He began his youth career with the Downers Grove Roadrunners, later played with Chicago Fire's youth side, and then spent one year at the University of North Carolina. Vladimir Stojković
Vladimir Stojković (, ; born 28 July 1983) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays for Saudi club Al-Fayha as a goalkeeper. During his career he played for the two biggest clubs in his country, Red Star and Partizan, but also represented teams in eight other countries, notably with Sporting CP who loaned him several times for the duration of his contract. Stephen Francis Henderson (born 2 May 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is currently a free agent. Club career Early career Born in Dublin, Henderson began his youth career with Belvedere before joining Aston Villa in 2005 at the age of 17. FC Chavdar ( bg, ФК Чавдар) is a Bulgarian football club based in Etropole, Sofia Province. Founded in 1922, they compete in the South-West Third League, the third tier of Bulgarian football. They play their home games at the Chavdar Stadium, which now boasts a capacity of 5,600. Their home colours are red and white. Dimitar Ivanov Evtimov ( bg, Димитър Иванов Евтимов; born 7 September 1993) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for First League club CSKA Sofia.
