The 2016–17 Nemzeti Bajnokság III is Hungary's third-level football competition. Three teams were relegated including Szigetszentmiklós, Dunaújváros PASE, and Ajka from the 2015–16 Nemzeti Bajnokság II. On 28 March 2017, Tatabánya were disqualified from the Nemzeti Bajnokság III 2016–17 season. Nemzeti Bajnokság III
Nemzeti Bajnokság III (''NBIII'', ''National Championship III'') is the third tier of Hungarian football (from the autumn of 1997 till the spring of 2005, NB III was the fourth tier, the third was NB II). The tier contains 3 groups (west, center, east) of 16 teams. From each group, the champions are promoted to the NB II. The three lowest teams are relegated to the first tier of local divisions (''Megye I.''). From NB II, the three lowest teams are relegated to NB III. Kaposvári Rákóczi FC is a football club in Kaposvár, Hungary. Their home stadium is Stadion Kaposvár Rákoczi. The team is named after Francis II Rákóczi, a Transylvanian prince and national hero and they are also often referred to be the nickname ''Somogyiak'', referring to Somogy County, where the team plays. FC Tatabánya is a Hungarian football club based in Tatabánya. They play their home games at Stadion Gyula Grosics. History The ''Tatabányai Sport Klub'' was founded on February 6, 1910 by Ferenc Frei, a mining engineer. At this time several Hungarian towns outside of Budapest had formed football clubs – Debrecen, Miskolc, Győr. The 2015–16 Nemzeti Bajnokság II is Hungary's second-level football competition. The championship was won by Gyirmót FC Győr and they were also promoted to the 2016–17 Nemzeti Bajnokság I along with Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE.
