2016–17 Houston Rockets Season
The 2016–17 Houston Rockets season was the 50th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and their 46th in the Houston area. On June 1, 2016, the Rockets named Mike D'Antoni as their new head coach. The Rockets retired the number 11 of former center Yao Ming in February 2017. The Rockets finished the regular season with a 55–27 record, securing the 3rd seed. In the playoffs, the Rockets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games in the First Round, advancing to the Conference Semi-finals, where they lost in six games to the San Antonio Spurs. Xinjiang Flying Tigers
The Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers () is a professional basketball team based in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, China. The team play its home games at the Hongshan Arena, which has a capacity for 3,800 spectators. Ryan Anderson (basketball, Born 1988)
Ryan James Anderson (born May 6, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Houston Rockets. He played college basketball for the California Golden Bears. Anderson was selected with the 21st overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the New Jersey Nets, who traded him to the Orlando Magic in June 2009. With the Magic, he received the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2012. In July 2012, Anderson was traded to the New Orleans Hornets, who changed their name to the Pelicans in April 2013. In July 2016, he signed with the Houston Rockets as a free agent and was dealt to the Phoenix Suns in August 2018. Clint Capela
Clint N'Dumba Capela (born May 18, 1994) is a Swiss professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is the Hawks' franchise leader in career field-goal percentage, having led the NBA in the same field during the 2017–18 season. He is the highest-earning team athlete in Switzerland's history. James Harden

Shanghai Sharks
The Shanghai Sharks () are a Chinese Basketball Association team based in Shanghai. It is best known outside China as the club that developed Yao Ming before he entered the National Basketball Association. With Yao on the team, the Sharks made the finals for three seasons in a row (in 1999–2000, 2000–01, and 2001–02), facing the Bayi Rockets each time. They were runners-up the first two years, but won the CBA championship for the first time on their third try, snapping a string of six Bayi Rockets championships in a row. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. John Harding Lucas II (born October 31, 1953) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played basketball and tennis at the University of Maryland, College Park and was an All-American in both. Collegiate career Lucas attended the University of Maryland where he was an All-American in basketball. Lucas was a Second-team All-American for the Terrapins team in 1973–74, along with his teammates Len Elmore and Tom McMillen. Roy Lee Rogers Jr. (born August 19, 1973) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Alabama and was a first-round selection of the Vancouver Grizzlies in the 1996 NBA draft. Josh Oppenheimer (born January 15, 1969) is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Greek Basketball National team. Jeffrey Joseph Bzdelik () (born December 1, 1952) is an American professional basketball coach who most recently served as associate head coach for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
