2016–17 Burton Albion F.C. Season
The 2016–17 season was Burton Albion's 67th season in their history and first ever in the Championship after gaining promotion the previous season. Along with competing in the Championship, the club also participated in the FA Cup and EFL Cup. The club finished 20th in the league table, was knocked out the third round of the FA Cup and knocked out of the second round of the EFL Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017. Kyle John McFadzean (born 28 February 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for club Coventry City. Luke Ivan Varney (born 28 September 1982) is a former English professional footballer who played as a striker. Across his career he had spells with 11 different teams. William Finn Miller (born 8 June 1996) is an English actor and former professional footballer. Early life Miller was born to television director Sam Miller and actress Janine Wood. He played football at Leyton Orient from the age of seven to 12. He first appeared in a documentary drama as Pieter Beijerinck, in a 2006 documentary drama, '' Krakatoa: The Last Days'', directed by his father. Matthew Thomas Palmer (born 27 February 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League club Notts County. Career Burton Albion Palmer was born in Derby, Derbyshire. He joined Burton Albion's youth academy after being released by Derby County. Damien Paul McCrory (born 23 February 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Grantham Town. First signing professional forms with Plymouth Argyle in 2008, he spent the next two years on loan at Port Vale and Grimsby Town, before joining Dagenham & Redbridge in 2010. Marvin Anthony Sordell (born 17 February 1991) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. Sordell started his career with Fulham prior to joining Watford for a two-year scholarship in 2007.
