2016 Shanghai Darts Masters
The 2016 Shanghai Darts Masters was the inaugural staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, as a third entry in the 2016 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured eight Asian players who facing eight PDC players and was held at the Pullman Hotel Shanghai South in Shanghai, China from 25–26 June 2016. Michael van Gerwen won the title, defeating James Wade 8–3 in the final. Dave Chisnall
Dave Chisnall (born 12 September 1980) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He began his career in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and was the runner-up in their World Championship in 2010. He switched to the PDC a year later where he has since reached six major TV finals and won 17 PDC ranking events. Since his switch to the PDC, Chisnall has been a staple in the top 20 of the rankings, appearing in the Premier League five times, and representing England at the PDC World Cup on three occasions. Yuanjun Liu (born 21 April 1982) is a Chinese professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career In 2016, he and Wenge Xie represented China in the 2016 PDC World Cup of Darts, and reached the second round, where they were comprehensively beaten by Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis of England. Royden Lam
Royden Lam (Chinese:林鼎智; born 8 September 1975) is a darts player from Hong Kong. Career Royden Lam is best known as a soft tip darts player but also plays steel tip darts. In 2009 he won the Hong Kong Open by beating Liu Cheng from China in the final. In 2010, he lost in the final of the Japan Open to Kyle Anderson and in the quarter-finals of the Asia Pacific Cup to Morihiro Hashimoto. In 2011, he almost managed to qualify for the PDC World Championship, but was defeated by Scott MacKenzie 4–3 in the final of the Chinese qualifier. Scott MacKenzie (darts Player)
Scott MacKenzie (born 21 February 1972) is a retired Brazilian-born British professional darts player based in Hong Kong. He has represented Hong Kong on numerous occasions (in both steel tip and soft tip darts), including captaining the Hong Kong team at the 2008 Asia Pacific Cup in New Zealand and 2012 team to Australia. Paul Lim Leong Hwa (born 25 January 1954) is a Singaporean professional darts player. He was the first player to hit a perfect nine-dart finish during the Embassy World Darts Championship, which he achieved in 1990 during his second round match against Jack McKenna. Lim won £52,000 for his nine-darter, which was £28,000 more than Phil Taylor won for winning the tournament. Peter Wright (born 10 March 1970) is a Scottish professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), where he is currently ranked No. 2 in the world.
