2016 SEABA Cup
The 2016 SEABA Cup was the qualifying event in the SEABA for the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge. The fifth edition of the games took place from 22 May to 28 May 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. Automatically, only one spot was allotted for SEABA but due to the Philippines' runner-up finish in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship, the subzone was awarded another slot, thus SEABA had two spots which was contested by five SEABA teams. The won their second tournament title by defeating the hosts in the championship match, 97-80. However, both teams were already qualified to the main tournament as of 25 May due to their top two finish in the elimination round. Troy Rosario
Jeth Troy Utanes Rosario (born January 20, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). College and amateur career Rosario played for two years at Technological Institute of the Philippines. He left TIP to focus on his stint for the RP Youth Team then-coached by NU Bulldogs coach Eric Altamirano. Then he suited for the NU Bulldogs after transferring from TIP. In his final season with the Bulldogs, he averaged 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, as his team made history by winning their first championship since 1954. Chase Tan (; birthdate: 1 April 1990) is a Singaporean actor and basketball player who plays for the SBPHK Hornets in the Singapore National Basketball League and the Singapore national basketball team.
