2016 Primera B Nacional
The 2016 Argentine Primera B Nacional was the 31st season of the Argentine second division. The season began in January and ended in July. Twenty-two teams competed in the league, sixteen returning from the 2015 season, two teams that were relegated from Primera División and four teams promoted from Federal A and B Metropolitana. Competition format The league's format has changed from last season. In this year there were twenty-two teams who played each other once in one Round-robin tournament. One team would be crowned as champion and automatically promoted to the Primera División. One team would be relegated at the end of the season. Primera B Nacional
Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. In Argentine football, Nacional B is the second-highest league, and from it, the three best teams are automatically promoted to Primera División. Club Sportivo Estudiantes is an Argentine association football club based in the city of San Luis in the homonymous province. The senior squad currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second division of Argentine football league system. Founded on June 20, 1920, the club belongs to regional Liga Sanluiseña de Fútbol, being the most successful team with 33 championships won. Club Atlético Chacarita Juniors (usually known simply as Chacarita) is an Argentine football club headquartered in Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires, while the stadium is located in Villa Maipú, General San Martín Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. Club Atlético Brown (mostly known as Brown de Adrogué) is an Argentine football club from the Adrogué neighborhood in Greater Buenos Aires. The team currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second division of the Argentine football league system. History The club was formed in 1945 as a multidisciplinary sports club. Club Almagro is an Argentine sports club from José Ingenieros, Buenos Aires, although its headquarters are in the Almagro district. The football team currently plays in the Primera Nacional, the second division of the Argentine football league system. Club Villa Dálmine is an Argentine football club from Campana, Buenos Aires Province. The team currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second level of the Argentine football league system. Due to a financial crisis, the club was named "Club Atlético Campana" between 1993 and February 2000, after which it reassumed its original and current name.
