2016 National League Division Series
The 2016 National League Division Series were two best-of-five-game series to determine the participating teams in the 2016 National League Championship Series. The three divisional winners (seeded 1-3) and a fourth team—the winner of a one-game Wild Card playoff— played in two series. FS1 and MLB Network carried all the games in the United States. 2016 Chicago Cubs Season
The 2016 Chicago Cubs season was the 145th season of the Chicago Cubs franchise, the 141st in the National League and the Cubs' 101st season at Wrigley Field. The Cubs were managed by Joe Maddon in his second year as Cubs manager, and played their home games at Wrigley Field as members of the National League Central Division. To celebrate their 100 years at Wrigley, the Cubs wore a patch on their home uniforms and wore 1916 throwback uniforms on July 6. They began the season on April 4, 2016 at the Los Angeles Angels and finished the regular season on October 2, 2016 at the Cincinnati Reds. Jon Paul Morosi (born May 17, 1982) is an American sportswriter and reporter. Since 2016 he is an on-air personality with MLB Network, including the flagship studio show '' MLB Tonight''. Chris Conroy
Christopher Patrick Conroy (born July 22, 1974) is an American Major League Baseball (MLB) umpire. He made his MLB debut on September 29, 2010. His uniform number is 98. Conroy was officially promoted to the full-time staff of MLB umpires on June 14, 2013, replacing Brian Runge. At the time of his appointment, Conroy had worked 165 games at the Major League level. Larry Vanover
Larry Wayne Vanover (born August 22, 1955) is an American professional baseball umpire. Vanover worked in the National League from 1991 to 1999. He did not umpire in 2000 and 2001, and since 2002 has umpired across both major leagues. Todd Tichenor
Todd Frederick Tichenor (born December 15, 1976) is an American professional baseball umpire. He became a Major League Baseball reserve umpire in 2007 and was promoted to the full-time MLB staff in 2012. He wore number 97 until the 2014 season, when he switched to number 13 (formerly worn by Derryl Cousins). Alan Dwayne Porter Jr. (born December 18, 1977) is an American Major League Baseball umpire. He umpired his first Major League game on April 5, 2010. He wears uniform number 64. Umpiring career Porter's Major League umpiring debut was in early 2010 and he umpired a total of 35 major league games that season. He returned in 2011 to officiate in 121 big league games. John Hirschbeck
John Francis Hirschbeck (born September 7, 1954) is a former umpire for Major League Baseball. He worked in the American League from 1984 to 1999 and worked in both leagues from 2000 to 2016.
