The 2016 Handball League Australia was the first round robin handball league in Australia. The principal idea was to play round robin games in each capital city. Sydney University Handball Club
The Sydney University Handball Club is a handball team from the University of Sydney from Sydney, Australia. They are five times Men's National Champions, seven times Men's Oceania Champions and qualified for seven IHF Super Globe competitions. The men's team has won the State Championship eleven times. The Handball League Australia (HLA) is an Australian-based championship for handball run by Australian Handball Federation. The principal idea was to play round robin games in each capital city. There are four teams representing four states. Season In the first season four rounds were planned but the third round was cancelled. The season starts in June and ends in December. The Brisbane Handball Club is a handball club based in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. The club is affiliated with Handball Queensland, plays in the Brisbane Handball League, and hosts a league for juniors (children aged 8-15). The club offers handball programs for children and adults across all skill levels. Membership is available for a school term (10 weeks), half a year, full year. The club operates year-round. The University of Queensland Handball Club is based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The club has been affiliated with the University of Queensland since 1992. Many players are international University of Queensland students but the club is open to non-students also. The club mascot is the UQ Tiger.
