2016 Challenge Cup
The 2016 Challenge Cup, (also known as the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 115th staging of the Challenge Cup the main rugby league knockout tournament for teams in the Super League, the British National Leagues and a number of invited amateur clubs. The cup was won by Hull F.C. who beat Warrington Wolves 12–10 in the final at Wembley Stadium on 27 August 2016. The defending champions, Leeds Rhinos who were looking to win the trophy three times in a row were defeated by Huddersfield Giants in the sixth round. The format of the competition is eight knock-out rounds followed by a final. The first two rounds are composed entirely of amateur teams. The nine winners of the second round ties are joined in round 3 by the 15 Championship 1 teams. For the fourth round the 12 Championship teams are included in the draw. Oxford Rugby League
Oxford Rugby League was a semi-professional rugby league club based in Oxford, England. The club was formed in 2012 and joined League 1 in 2013, playing for five seasons before agreeing to merge with Gloucestershire All Golds following the 2017 season, resulting in both clubs exiting the league in order to form a new club, Bristol Rugby League, which intended to enter League 1 from the 2019 season. However, when this didn't happen, All Golds continued on its own in the southern league, leaving Oxford to simply fold. The Salford Red Devils are a professional rugby league club in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, who play in the Super League. Formed in 1873, they have won six Championships and one Challenge Cup. Their home ground since 2012 has been the AJ Bell Stadium in Barton-upon-Irwell, before which they played at the Willows in Weaste. Aberdeen Warriors
Aberdeen Warriors were a Scottish rugby league club based in the city of Aberdeen. The club was founded in 2010. They played in the Scottish National League and won the league on four occasions. Home games were played at the Woodside Sports Complex, also known to have played at Hazlehead Academy, Westdyke Leisure Centre and Rubislaw Playing Fields. Old Blues RFC
Founded in 1873, Old Blues RFC is an English rugby union club. As of the 20/21 season the 1st XV competes in RFU Surrey 2 and the 2nd XV competes iSurrey Combination 1 North Both sides play home matches in Motspur Park, South West London. The club welcomes players from all over London and Surrey operating three senior teams during the season and a Vets (35+) team on select weekends. During the off season the club tours annually and enters several 7's tournaments in the Surrey and South London area. London Chargers R.L.F.C. are a rugby league side based in South West London who currently (2022) compete in the Southern Conference League, a tier 4 competition. They were known as the South West London Chargers up until November 2015. They were formed in 2013 as a merger between West London Sharks and South London Storm and formerly competed in the London Premier (South Premier) History ''South West London Chargers'' were formed on 17 January 2013 from the merger of South London Storm and West London Sharks. Acorn Sports & Social Club

Hunslet Club Parkside was an English amateur rugby league club based in Hunslet, West Yorkshire. Its first team competed in the National Conference League. History The club was founded in the 1940s as Hunslet Boys Club, playing junior rugby until 1999 when the club formed an open age team named Hunslet Old Boys. In 2012, Hunslet Parkside approached Hunslet Old Boys about a possible merger, which went ahead several months later. Hunslet Parkside was a junior club formed in 1973 following the demise of the town's professional club, and was based in the Belle Isle area in the south of Leeds. Thatto Heath Crusaders is an amateur rugby league club situated in Thatto Heath, St Helens, Merseyside. The club currently competes in the National Conference League Premier Division History ''Thatto Heath'' RLFC began life in 1981, originally formed by ex-St Helens R.F.C. player Frankie Barrow. The team began competing in the North West Counties 4th Division, and the ‘A’ Team entered Division 5.
