2016 Canada Sevens
The 2016 Canada Sevens is the first edition of the Canada Sevens tournament, and the sixth tournament of the 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series. The tournament was played on 12–13 March 2016 at BC Place in Vancouver, BC. Format Sixteen teams are drawn into four pools of four teams each. Each team plays each of the other teams their pool once. The top two teams from each pool advance to the Cup/Plate brackets. The bottom two teams from each group go to the Bowl/Shield brackets. 2017 Canada Sevens
The 2017 Canada Sevens was the second edition of the Canada Sevens tournament, and the sixth tournament of the 2016–17 World Rugby Sevens Series. The tournament was played on 11–12 March 2017 at BC Place in Vancouver, BC. Format The teams were drawn into four pools of four teams each. Each team plays all the others in their pool once. 3, 2 or 1 points for a win, draw or loss. The top two teams from each pool advance to the Cup brackets. The bottom two teams go into the Challenge trophy brackets. Teams The tournament will consist of the fifteen core teams plus Chile, who qualified by finishing as the best ranked non-core team of the 2017 Sudamérica Rugby Sevens. Canada Sevens
The Canada Sevens is an annual rugby sevens tournament held every March. It is one of the ten stops on the World Rugby Sevens Series, and is played the weekend after the USA Sevens in Las Vegas. Canada secured a four-year deal to host to event from the 2015–16 season. The tournament is played at BC Place in Vancouver. 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series
The 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series, known for sponsorship reasons as the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, was the 17th annual series of rugby union sevens tournaments for national men's rugby sevens teams. The Sevens Series has been run by World Rugby since 1999–2000. This season, the series expanded from nine to ten events. Core teams Fourteen teams from the 2014-15 season retained core status for the 2015–16 season. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
