2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship was the 17th staging of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, AVC Club Championships which was hosted by the Philippines. The tournament was held at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna (province), Laguna. It was held from September 3 to September 11, 2016. The tournament was organized by the Philippine Super Liga and the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. The tournament serves as the 2nd Asian tournament which was hosted by the LVPI following the Asian Under-23 Championships hosting in 2015. is a women's volleyball team based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. It plays in V.League 1. The owner of the team is NEC. The club was founded in April 1978 as NEC's corporate team, participating the same year in the 10th V.Challenge League tournament. The Indonesian Volleyball Federation, commonly called PBVSI (Indonesian: ''Persatuan Bola Voli Seluruh Indonesia)'' sometimes translated as All-Indonesian Volleyball Association) is the governing body of volleyball and beach volleyball in Indonesia. Jakarta Elektrik PLN is a Indonesian professional women's volleyball club based in ฺJakarta and owned and managed by the PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara. The club was founded in 2004 and is currently a participant in the women's Proliga. This club has won the title six times in the Proliga, being the most among other women's volleyball clubs in the Proliga. Altay Volleyball Club is a Kazakh volleyball club that plays at the Kazakhstan National Liga. Altay's predecessor, Ust-Kamenogorsk VC was formed in 2005 which merged with Semey VC in 2015 to establish the Altay Volleyball Club. The club has been successful at the Kazakhstan Volleyball Championship being crowned six times by 2016. Bangkok Glass Volleyball Club ( th, สโมสรวอลเลย์บอลบางกอกกล๊าส) was a Thai professional volleyball club based in Pathum Thani Province and was managed by BG FC Sport Co.,Ltd. which was a subsidiary of Bangkok Glass Group of Companies. The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL.
