2015–16 Xavier Musketeers Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by seventh year head coach Chris Mack (basketball), Chris Mack, they played their games at the Cintas Center and were third year members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 28–6, 14–4 in 2015–16 Big East Conference men's basketball season, Big East play to finish in second place. Chris Mack (basketball)
Christopher Lee Mack (born December 30, 1969) is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach at the University of Louisville and Xavier University. Background Chris Mack was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in North College Hill, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. He graduated in 1988 from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, where he was named 1987–88 ''Cincinnati Post'' Metro Player of the Year. Mack continued on to the University of Evansville, where he played basketball for two seasons. He then transferred to Xavier University in 1990, where he played his final two seasons of eligibility (after redshirting one for transfer rules), and graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in Communication Arts. Kaiser Gates
Kaiser Gates (born November 8, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Xavier Musketeers. High school career Gates attended St. Francis High School. Alongside teammate Kobi Simmons and Malik Beasley, he led the team to two, back to back, state titles. Gates finished with more than 1,200 points and is the school's all-time leading rebounder. He was regarded as three-star recruit and the 10th best player in Georgia by 247 sports and selected Xavier over offers from Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Florida State, Georgia and Missouri. Bay Village is a city in western Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. Jalen Reynolds (born December 30, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for UNICS Kazan of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for Xavier University before playing professionally in Italy, Spain, Russia, China and Israel. College career Reynolds enrolled at Xavier University in 2012, after graduating from Brewster Academy. After being ruled ineligible, he sat out the 2012-13 season.
