2015–16 Serbian Cup
The 2016 in association football, 2015–16 Serbian Cup season is the tenth season of the Serbian national football tournament. The competition started on 2 September 2015. The winner of the competition qualified for the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League. Calendar Preliminary round A preliminary round was held in order to reduce the number of teams competing in the next round to 32. It consisted of 5 single-legged ties, with a Penalty shoot-out (association football), penalty shoot-out as the decider if the score was tied after 90 minutes. This round featured the bottom 5 teams from the 2014–15 Serbian First League, as well as 5 regional cup winners. The draw contained seeded and unseeded teams. Serbian Cup
The Serbian Cup ( Serbian: Куп Србије, Kup Srbije) is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. From 2006 to 2010, the competition was known as the Lav Cup for sponsorship reasons. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. Belgrade giants Red Star were easily the most successful club reaching the final all four years winning twice and losing in the final the other two seasons. Surprisingly, Red Star's cross-town rival Partizan did not appear in a single final. 2014–15 Serbian First League
The Serbian First League (Serbian: Prva liga Srbije) is the second-highest football league in Serbia. The league is operated by the Serbian FA. 16 teams competed in the league for the 2014–15 season. Two teams will be promoted to the Serbian SuperLiga while the 3rd placed team will play in the play-offs against the 14th team in the SuperLiga. Four teams will be relegated to the Serbian League, the third-highest division overall in the Serbian football league system. Dušan Đokić ( sr-Cyrl, Душан Ђокић; also transliterated Dušan Djokić; born February 20, 1980) is a Serbian former footballer. Career Serbian clubs In his career he played for Topličanin, Dinamo Pančevo, Rad, Zemun, Obilić, Železnik, Voždovac, but his career started taking off when he joined Red Star Belgrade in January 2006. Serbian League West
Serbian League West ( sr, Српска лига Запад, Srpska liga Zapad) is one of four sections of the Serbian League, the third national tier. The other three sections are Serbian League Belgrade, Serbian League East and Serbian League Vojvodina. It is also the highest regional league for the western part of Serbia. The league was founded in 2003 following a merger between the Serbian League Dunav and the Serbian League Morava. Serbian First League
The Serbian First League ( sr, Прва лига Србије / Prva liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Прва лига / Mozzart Bet Prva liga) for sponsorship reasons, is the name for the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Football Association of Serbia completed a restructure of the league system, and in season 2020/2021 that meant 18 clubs would be competing in the Serbian First League, the number of clubs will go back to the usual 16 following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season. FK Mokra Gora
FK Mokra Gora () is a football club based in Zubin Potok, Kosovo, Serbia. They compete in the Šumadija-Raška Zone League, the fourth tier of the national league system. History The club participated in the last two seasons of the Serbia and Montenegro Cup ( 2004–05 and 2005–06). They were eliminated in the opening round on each occasion, convincingly losing to Obilić (5–1) and OFK Beograd (3–0), respectively. In the 2006–07 Serbian Cup, the club would go on to defeat Borac Čačak in the first round on penalties. Fudbalski klub ČSK Pivara (Serbian Cyrillic: ЧСК Пивара) is a football club from Čelarevo, a village near Bačka Palanka, Serbia. It was founded in 1925 as ČOSK ( sr, Čebski Omladinski Sportski Klub or ЧОСК, Чебски Омладински Спортски Клуб). The village of Čelarevo was called Čeb before World War II, hence the name. FK Jedinstvo Paraćin () is a Association football, football club based in Paraćin, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League East, the third tier of the Serbian football league system, national league system. FK Loznica (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Лозница) is a professional football club from Loznica, Serbia. History LSK The first soccer ball arrived in the town of Loznica in 1919. It was brought from London by local student Milisav Vasić, who had been studying there, playing at Birmingham City F.C. Soon the game became very popular and at the end of 1919 the first club was founded, named Gučevo. Fudbalski klub Zemun (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Земун) is a Serbian professional football club based in Zemun, Belgrade, that competes in the Serbian League Belgrade. Fudbalski klub Sloga Kraljevo (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Слога Краљево) is a football club based in Kraljevo, in Serbia. History In 1909 former cavalry captain Mr. Delić came to Kraljevo from Šibenik and brought the first ball which he bought in Zemun.
