2015–16 LSU Tigers Basketball Team
The 2015–16 LSU Tigers basketball team represented Louisiana State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Johnny Jones, who was in his fourth season at LSU. They played their home games at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 19–14, 11–7 in SEC play to finish in a three way tie for third place. They defeated Tennessee in the quarterfinals of the 2016 SEC tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Texas A&M. On March 13, the day after losing to Texas A&M by 33 points, they announced they would not participate in a postseason tournament. Johnny Jones (basketball Coach)
John Henry Jones Jr. (born March 30, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Texas Southern Tigers basketball team. He was formerly the men's basketball head coach at North Texas and at his alma mater LSU. Playing career Jones played in the 1981 Final Four as a freshman at LSU, and later served 12 seasons as an assistant coach at LSU under Dale Brown where the pair returned to the 1986 Final Four. Montverde Academy
Montverde Academy is a private PK–12 school in Montverde, Florida, United States. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P. Carpenter. It underwent a major expansion in 1921, when two new buildings were built for a cost of almost $40,000, including a concrete block dormitory for 200 boys and a new dining hall. The expansion was funded by donations, including $11,000 from R. Jay Arnold of Groveland, Florida. This expansion brought the organization to a total of eight buildings on 200 acres and $150,000 worth of equipment. Brandon Sampson (born May 1, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for Louisiana State University (LSU). Oak Ridge High School is a public high school in Orlando, Florida, established in 1959. The school had been rated a D or F institution by the state starting in 2000.
