2015–16 Baylor Bears Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Baylor Bears basketball team represented Baylor University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Scott Drew's thirteenth season at Baylor. The Bears competed in the Big 12 Conference and played their home games at the Ferrell Center. They finished the season 22–12, 10–8 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for fifth place. They defeated Texas in the quarterfinal of the Big 12 tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Kansas. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Yale. Scott Drew
Scott Homer Drew (born October 23, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Baylor Bears, a position he has held since 2003. Drew began his coaching career as an assistant for Valparaiso under his father Homer Drew. Following his father's retirement in 2002, Drew would serve as the head coach of Valparaiso for one season before being hired by Baylor in 2003. Drew took over Baylor as a program in ruins, following decades of poor performance and a public scandal that resulted in numerous NCAA sanctions. Following an unsuccessful first 4 seasons while rebuilding the team, Drew turned Baylor from a program with only one NCAA tournament appearance since 1950 into a perennial tournament contender appearing in 10 of 13 tournaments since 2008. Killeen is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. Mark Vital Jr. (born November 7, 1997) is an American football tight end and basketball guard who is a free agent. He played college basketball at Baylor University before transitioning shortly after winning a National Championship during his basketball career at Baylor University and playing in the NBA Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers to pursue a career in the NFL. Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team is the college basketball team of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The University of Miami men's basketball team was formed in 1926, but the program was later dropped by the university in 1971. In 1985, fourteen years later, the Hurricanes resumed play as an independent and joined the Big East Conference in 1991, winning the Big East regular season title in 2000. Emmanuel Lecomte (born 16 August 1995) is a Belgian basketball player for Hapoel Eilat of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Joseph Lual-Acuil Jr. (born 26 April 1994) is a South Sudanese-Australian professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners men's basketball represents California State University, Bakersfield in Bakersfield, California, United States.
