The 2015–16 season was Bournemouth's first season in the Premier League (and their first ever season in the top-flight of English football) after gaining promotion in the previous season in their 126th year in existence. AFC Bournemouth () is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the highest division of English club football. Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971. Hastings
Hastings () is a large seaside town and borough in East Sussex on the south coast of England, east to the county town of Lewes and south east of London. Simon Charles Francis (born 16 February 1985) is an English former professional footballer who is assistant first-team technical director at AFC Bournemouth. As a player he was a defender who notably played in the Premier League for AFC Bournemouth who were the final team he played for, he spent eight years with the club with five coming in the top flight. Adam Jay Federici (born 31 January 1985) is an Australian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Federici began his senior career at Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2003, but was only there briefly and soon switched to Torres. After a reasonably successful season for the Italian side, he joined Reading in 2005, and, following loan spells at Maidenhead United, Northwood and Carshalton Athletic, turned fully professional in 2006.
