World Junior Table Tennis Championships
The ITTF World Youth Championships is an annual table tennis competition for juniors under 19 and under 15. From 2003 to 2019, the World Junior Table Tennis Championships was held for juniors under 18. The ITTF changed the U18 age group into U19 in 2020, and implemented the new World Youth Championships for U19 and U15 in 2021. The World Youth Championships is currently composed of two team events and five individual events in each of the U19 and U15 age groups. Asian Cup Table Tennis Tournament
The ITTF–ATTU Asian Cup is an annual table tennis competition held by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU). The first edition was held in 1983. The competition features men's and women's singles events, with 16 players qualifying to take part in each event, subject to a maximum of two players per association. Liu Jia
Liu Jia (Chinese: 刘佳; born 16 February 1982 in Beijing, China) is a Chinese-born Austrian left-handed table tennis player. Early life From 1992 to 1995, Liu attended Shichahai Sporting High School in Beijing. Afterward she became a member of professional club Shian Nuntan, where she played with Zhang Yining. Despite Liu's successes as a Cadet and Junior, competition within the Chinese team was strong and prospects for a future international career were dim. Instead of following a call to Japan, Liu travelled to Austria when the opportunity arose to play for Austrian team Linz AG Froschberg. Dimitrij Ovtcharov
Dimitrij Ovtcharov (russian: Дмитрий Овчаров) or Dmytro Ovtcharov ( uk, Дмитро Овчаров; born 2 September 1988) is a Ukrainian-born German table tennis player. His father Mikhail (or Mikhaylo), a Soviet table tennis champion in 1982, moved his family to Germany shortly after Dimitrij was born. Since 2008, Ovtcharov has won a total of two silver and four bronze medals at the Olympics. Ranked first January to February 2018, he is ranked ninth in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) as of November 2022. Ahmed Saleh (born 14 November 1979) is an Egyptian table tennis player. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2008 Games he took part in the men's individual event, losing in the second round to Damien Éloi of France. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he competed in the men's team event. 2019 African Games Ahmed Saleh competed in the 2019 African Games in Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, & Mixed Doubles. In Men's Singles, Saleh defeated Kurt Lingeveldt (4-1) in the Round of 16 to advance to the Quarterfinals. El-Sayed Lashin (born 9 February 1980 in Alexandria, Egypt) is an Egyptian table tennis player. His current club is Al Ahly in Cairo, where he resides. Quadri Akinade Aruna (born 9 August 1988, in Oyo, Nigeria) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player. He competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in the latter competition. He is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10 in World Table Tennis. At the World Cup 2014, he reached the quarter-finals in the Men's Singles competition.
