2015 UEC European Track Championships – Men's Team Pursuit
The Men's team pursuit was held on 14-15 October 2015. Results Qualifying The fastest 8 teams qualify for the first round, from which the top 4 remain in contention for the gold medal final and the other 4 for the bronze medal final. * Q = qualified; in contention for gold medal final * q = qualified; in contention for bronze medal final First round First round heats are held as follows: Heat 1: 6th v 7th qualifier Heat 2: 5th v 8th qualifier Heat 3: 2nd v 3rd qualifier Heat 4: 1st v 4th qualifier The winners of heats 3 and 4 proceed to the gold medal final. The remaining 6 teams are ranked on time, then proceed to the finals for bronze, 5th or 7th place. * QG = qualified for gold medal final * QB = qualified for bronze medal final * Q5 = qualified for 5th place final * Q7 = qualified for 7th place final Finals The final classification is determined in the ranking finals. UEC European Champion Jersey
The UEC European Champion jersey is the distinctive, identifiable jersey that the winner of a bicycle race receives at European Cycling Championships organized by the European Cycling Union (UEC), such as the European Road Championships and the European Track Championships. The jersey is predominantly blue with gold European stars. The jerseys are awarded in all cycling disciplines, including road cycling, track cycling, cyclo-cross, BMX, mountain biking and indoor cycling. The jerseys are provided by Santini SMS. Mathias Møller Nielsen (born 19 March 1994 in Gentofte Municipality, Gentofte) is a Danish amateur road and track cyclist. He helped his Danish squad claim a gold medal in the men's junior team pursuit at the 2012 European Track Championships (under-23 & junior), 2012 European Track Cycling Championships in Anadia, Portugal, and later represented his nation Denmark at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Summer Olympics in London. Sergey Vladimirovich Shilov (russian: Сергей Владимирович Шилов; born 6 February 1988) is a Russian road racing cyclist, who most recently rode for UCI Continental team . Career Shilov has won two professional level races in his career, along with several others at lower levels. His first professional win came in the 2014 Volta a Portugal, where he won the bunch sprint on stage 8 in Castelo Branco, Portugal, Castelo Branco. Bryan Coquard (born 25 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Omnium. Career Youth and amateur career Coquard began cycling in 1999 at the age of seven, at the US Pontchâteau club. In September 2008, aged sixteen, he joined CREPS Bordeaux, where he was coached by Éric Vermeulen. In 2009, Coquard won the gold medal in the omnium at the UCI Juniors World Championships, as well as winning the scratch at the European championships.
