2015 Tour De Ski
The 2015 Tour de Ski was the 9th edition of the Tour de Ski. The Stage World Cup event began in Oberstdorf, Germany, Oberstdorf, Germany on January 3, 2015, and ended in Val di Fiemme, Italy on January 10, 2015. The titles were being defended by Therese Johaug (Norway) and Martin Johnsrud Sundby (Norway), the former of which came second to Marit Bjørgen, while Sundby initially retained his title until it was passed on to Petter Northug when Sundby was stripped of the title. On July 20, 2016, Sundby was stripped of the win due to illegal use of asthma medication during the race. 2014–15 FIS Cross-Country World Cup
The 2014–15 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 34th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 29 November 2014 in Ruka, Finland and ended on 15 March 2015 in Oslo, Norway. The season's biggest event is FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015. Changed results due to doping violation On 20 July 2016, Martin Johnsrud Sundby was banned from competing in ski competitions for two months by the FIS after having used an asthma medicine incorrectly during the 2014–15 season. He was also stripped of two results; a victory in 15 km C in Davos, 13 December 2014 and a third place in 25 km F Pursuit in Toblach, 8 January 2015. the latter also resulted in Sundby losing the Tour de Ski title. Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. The summits of the Nebelhorn and Fellhorn provide dramatic panoramic views of the alps. The Nebelhorn can be reached with a big cable car. Dario Cologna
Dario Cologna (born 11 March 1986) is a Swiss cross-country skier. He has four overall World Cup victories, four Olympic gold medals, one World Championships gold medal and four Tour de Ski victories in his career. On 3 November 2021, he announced his retirement from cross-country skiing following the 2021–2022 season. Early life Cologna is a native Rumantsch speaker. He was born in Santa Maria Val Müstair, in the Lower Engadine, to Italian parents. His father Remo is from Val di Non in Trentino, while his mother Christine is from Stelvio/Stilfs in South Tyrol. He holds both Italian and Swiss citizenship. He is the older brother of Swiss skier Gianluca Cologna. ''Stage 7'' is a 30-minute American TV drama anthology series that was broadcast on CBS from December 12, 1954, through September 25, 1955. This program premiered in December 1954 with the title ''Your Favorite Playhouse'' with all episodes being repeats from other series, but later featured original episodes. Don Rickles's first dramatic appearance on TV was in the May 15, 1955, episode, "A Note of Fear". Stage 5 (or, originally, "Stage V") is an unofficial stage at the Walnut Valley Festival, an annual bluegrass festival in Winfield, Kansas, United States. Set up in the Pecan Grove campground, the informal stage began in 1987 when camper Russell Brace and friends built it on the back of a 1954 Chevrolet 4100 1-1/2 ton flatbed truck. The stage is so-named because the festival proper has four main stages. The stage was immediately popular and is now a cherished tradition at the annual event. Audiences at Stage 5 can usually expect to hear typical acoustic string instruments.
