2015 Pro Mazda Championship Season
The 2015 Pro Mazda Championship was the 17th season in series history. The series consisted of sixteen races at nine tracks, having expanded from fourteen races in 2014; adding races at NOLA Motorsports Park, the Streets of Toronto, Iowa Speedway and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, while dropping races at Houston, Milwaukee and Sonoma Raceway. The season began on March 28 at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and ended on September 13 at Laguna Seca. Uruguay's Santiago Urrutia became the first champion from South America since Raphael Matos in 2005, driving for Team Pelfrey. Urrutia, who joined the series for the 2015 season after a year in GP3, won only three races during the season – at NOLA Motorsports Park, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Mid-Ohio – but consistent finishing (finishing 14 of 16 races in the top-5) saw him finish 53 points clear of his nearest rival in the championship standings. Pro Mazda Championship
The USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, formerly known as the Star Mazda Championship, Pro Mazda Championship, and later Indy Pro 2000 Championship, is an Open-wheel car, open-wheel racing series serving as the third step on the Road to Indy ladder system, between the U.S. F2000 National Championship, U.S. F2000 Championship and Indy Lights, Indy NXT. The series is sanctioned by the United States Auto Club and operated by Andersen Promotions. The series' champion is awarded a scholarship package to advance to Indy Lights competition for the following season. It competes on all open-wheel disciplines: Road racing, road courses, Street circuit, street courses, and Oval track racing, ovals. Weiron Tan
Weiron Tan (born 3 December 1994) is a Malaysian racing driver. Career Karting Weiron was first introduced to go-karts at the age of 13, and by the age of 15 he was the first Malaysian champion in the PLUS Yamaha SL Cup Championship and the same year saw him emerge as vice champion in the Asian Karting Open Championship. In 2011, Weiron made his racing debut in Europe, competing in the WSK Series under the Works Kosmic Racing Kart Team. Scott Hargrove (born February 1, 1995) is a Canadian racing driver from Vancouver, British Columbia. Hargrove in the winningest driver in IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada history. Having competed in both Sports car racing and Open-wheel car racing, Hargrove has become one of Canada's premier racing drivers. Raoul Owens (born 22 August 1994) is a London-based, British racing driver. He will compete in the VLN Endurance Championship based at the Nürburgring with Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW. Career Early years It was in the UK at the age of 8 that Raoul Owens began competing in karting. Shortly after, in 2005 with the family move to South Africa, Raoul continued his early development by joining the Western Province Motoring Club. Daniel Burkett (born February 25, 1995) is a Canadian racing driver who currently competes in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge for CJ Wilson Racing. Career history After karting in various series Burkett made his open wheel debut in 2013. His first race was the opening round of the 2013 U.S. F2000 Winterfest.
