2015 Osaka Metropolis Plan Referendum
A referendum on the implementation of the Osaka Metropolis Plan was held in Osaka on 17 May 2015. In the event of a "yes" vote, the wards in Osaka City would be reorganized into special wards similar to those in Tokyo. Nishinari-ku, Osaka
is one of the 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. It contains some shopping and entertainment areas, such as Tamade. It lies directly south of the Namba transport hub and extends further south toward Sumiyoshi Park. It is served by the Nankai Railway lines as well as the Yotsubashi and Sakaisuji subway lines. Hirano-ku, Osaka
is one of 24 wards which make up the city of Osaka, and is located in the southeast of the city. It is the largest Osaka ward in population and the only ward to have over 200,000 residents. Geography The north-west side of Hirano-ku is on the southern part of the Uemachi Plateau, but the overall terrain is mostly flat. Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka
is one of 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. It is located on the southern part of the Uemachi Plateau, in the southernmost part of Osaka City, and is separated from Sakai City's Sakai-ku and Kita-ku by the Yamato River. There are six rail lines, and three main thoroughfares - Abiko-Suji (which run north–south through the centre of the ward), Abeno-Suji (which continues north through the area of Tennoji) and Nagai Koen-Dori, which runs east–west and connects the area with the port to the west. Suminoe-ku, Osaka

Jōtō-ku, Osaka
is one of the 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. "Jōtō" means "east of the castle", referring to Osaka Castle. It was separated from Higashinari and Asahi in 1943, and eastern Jōtō became Tsurumi in 1974. Jōtō-ku has the highest population density of any ward in a city-designated municipality in Japan, and is the only ward with a density that exceeds 20,000 people per square kilometre. When the special wards of Tokyo are also included, it is the sixth densest ward in the country after Toshima, Nakano, Arakawa, Bunkyō and Taitō.
