2015 Oklahoma Sooners Baseball Team
The 2015 Oklahoma Sooners baseball team will represent the University of Oklahoma during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Sooners will play their home games at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They will be led by head coach Pete Hughes, in his second season at Oklahoma. Previous season In 2014, the Sooners finished the season 8th in the Big 12 with a record of 29–29, 8–16 in conference play. They qualified for the 2014 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament, and were eliminated in the second round. They failed to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Pete Hughes
Pete Hughes (born January 11, 1968) is an American college baseball coach and head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats baseball team. Previously he served as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners baseball and the Virginia Tech Hokies baseball team. Playing career After growing up in Brockton, Massachusetts, Hughes attended Boston College High School, lettering in both baseball and football for the Eagles. Hughes then was a four-year starting quarterback at Davidson College. He also played third base for the Wildcats baseball team. Coaching career After completing college, Hughes became an assistant coach for both baseball and football at Hamilton College. He stayed there for one academic year before moving to Northeastern in the same dual capacity. After five years, he decided to focus on baseball and landed his first head coaching job at Trinity University in Texas. 2015 Oregon State Beavers Baseball Team
The 2015 Oregon State Beavers baseball team represented Oregon State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Beavers played their home games at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field and were members of the Pac-12 Conference. The team was coached by Pat Casey in his 21st season at Oregon State.
