2015 Faroe Islands Premier League was the 73rd season of top-tier football on the Faroe Islands. For sponsorship reasons, it was known as ''Effodeildin''. B36 Tórshavn were the defending champions, having won their tenth Faroese title last season. Teams Skála and B68 had finished 9th and 10th respectively at the end of the previous season and were relegated to the 1. deild as a result. The Faroe Islands Premier League (also known as ''Betri deildin menn'' for sponsorship reasons) is the top level of football in the Faroe Islands. It was founded in 1942 as Meistaradeildin, and it is played in current format since 2005, when Premier League replaced 1. deild as the country's top football division. The league is organised by the Faroe Islands Football Association. It is contested by 10 clubs. At the end of every season, two teams are relegated and two promoted from 1. deild. All teams in the league have semi-professional status. As of April 2022, the Faroe Islands Premier League is ranked 44th out of 55 leagues in the UEFA coefficient. Skála Ítróttarfelag (Skála ÍF) is a Faroese football club based in Skáli, municipality of Runavík. The club was founded on 15 May 1965. They currently play in the Betrideildin, which is the top football league of the Faroe Islands. They were promoted to the top league after winning the 2015 season of 1, deild with 70 points. Jón Pauli Olsen
Jón Pauli Olsen (born 17 August 1968) is a former manager for the Faroe Islands women's national football team. He was also manager for the Faroe Islands Women's U17 national team. Olsen is also a former football player, he mostly played as a forward, but sometimes he played as a midfielder and sometimes as a defender. He is married to Sirið Stenberg, who is member of the Faroese parliament ( Løgting). Á Eiðinum
á Eiðinum is a multi-use stadium in Vágur, which is one of the larger villages in the southernmost island Suduroy in the Faroe Islands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Suðuroy, formerly called VB/Sumba (until 31 Dec. 2009). The stadium holds 3,000 people, but has only 330 seats. Vágshøll - The Sports Hall of Vágur Next to the Football Stadium on Eiðinum in Vágur is a sports hall, which is called Vágshøll. It was built in 1980. Vágur meaning ''Bay'' ( da, Våg) is a town on the island of Suðuroy, part of the Faroe Islands It is situated on the east coast of the island on the Vágsfjørður fjord, and was founded in the fourteenth century. Expansion has meant that the nearby town of Nes is now a suburb of Vágur. Vágur has a sports hall next to the football grounds on Eiðinum, near Vágseiði, a swimming pool by the school and a clinic which offers the services of doctors, nurses and dentists. Streymnes
Streymnes ( da, Strømnæs) is a village on the eastern coast of the Faroese island of Streymoy in Sunda Municipality. The 2015 population was 270. Its postal code is FO 435. It is near the site of a former Norwegian whaling station active from 1893 to 1927. Streymnes is the northern half of a twin-village situated on both sides of the valley. The villages are divided by the river Stórá. The southern half which is approximately the same size is called Hvalvík. Together the two villages have a population of more than 400 inhabitants. Gundadalur
Gundadalur is the name of an area in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. It is home to three different football pitches and other sports facilities. The largest one is the national stadium Tórsvøllur, a multi-use stadium. Overview The actual Gundadalur Stadium is located just alongside Tórsvøllur. It was opened in 1911. There are two sports halls in the same area. Høllin á Hálsi is the oldest one; built in 1970, it is located just above Tórsvøllur. The sports hall has been owned by Tórshavn Municipality since 2004. Tórshavn (; lit. "Thor's harbour"), usually locally referred to as simply ''Havn'', is the capital and largest city of the Faroe Islands.
