2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 5 to 8 March 2015 in the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. Bidding process Prague was chosen as the host of the Championships on the European Athletics council meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria in May 2012. The other candidate city was Istanbul, Turkey. Previously, Prague hosted the 1967 European Indoor Games, the forerunner of the European Athletics Indoor Championships. It was the first time since the 1978 European Athletics Championships that Prague hosted a major athletics championships. International athletics events in the Czech Republic traditionally took place away from Prague at the outdoor arena in Ostrava. That city's annual Golden Spike Ostrava meet began in 1961, and the 2011 European Athletics U23 Championships and 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics were held in the preceding years. Pavel Maslák
Pavel Maslák (, born 21 February 1991) is a Czech sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He is the only athlete in history who has managed to win the 400 m title at the World Indoor Championships at three consecutive championships. Maslák is the first Czech to have run 400 metres under 45 seconds outdoor and under 46 seconds indoor. Personal life Pavel Maslák was born on 21 February 1991 in Havířov, Czechoslovakia. Dylan Borlée
Dylan Borlée (born 20 September 1992) is a Belgian sprinter who competes in the 400 metres. He is a member of the Borlée family. He holds a personal best of 45.57 seconds for the event. He was the silver medallist at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2015. He has also represented Belgium at the World Championships in Athletics and IAAF World Relays as part of the national 4×400 metres relay team. Christian Blum (born 10 March 1987) is a German track and field sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres and 60 metres. He holds personal bests of 10.20 seconds and 6.56 seconds for those events. He was the 60 m silver medallist at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2015. He has also won medals with the 4×100 metres relay team. He is a five-time German champion over 60 m. Richard Kilty (born 2 September 1989 in Middlesbrough) is a British sprinter who competes both Indoor and Outdoor across all the sprint events including 60 metres, 100 metres,150 metres, and 200 metres. IAAF Indoor Permit Meetings
The IAAF Indoor Permit Meetings were an annual series of indoor track and field competitions organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) from 1997 until the end of 2015 season. In 2016 IAAF launched the IAAF World Indoor Tour including four meetings which have all regularly held an IAAF Indoor Permit. The series was known as the World Indoor Meetings from 2003 to 2007 before returning to its original name in 2008. The IAAF Indoor Permit Meetings calendar was subject to change during its lifetime, with the number of meetings, the constituent meetings and the duration of the series all regularly changing from year to year. Mole (Czech: ''Krtek'', ''Krteček'') is an animated character in a series of cartoons created by Czech animator Zdeněk Miler. The premiere of the first short film with Mole took place at the Venice Film Festival in 1957. Hradčany (; german: Hradschin), the Castle District, is the district of the city of Prague, Czech Republic surrounding Prague Castle.
