2015 Donegal County Football Team Season
The following is a summary of Donegal county football team's 2015 season. The 2015 Donegal county football team season was the franchise's 111th season since the County Board's foundation in 1905. The team entered the season, having reached the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. Personnel changes Rory Gallagher was in his first season as the team's manager. He was ratified on 31 October 2014. In December 2014, Gary McDaid officially joined the backroom team as coach–selector. Thirteen players were added ahead of the 2015 Dr McKenna Cup, including goalkeeper Mark Anthony McGinley, Eoin McHugh, Ciaran McGinley, Conor Parke, Eunan Doherty (Naomh Conaill) Kevin McBrearty (Four Masters) and Ryan Malley (Ard an Rátha). Donegal County Football Team
The Donegal county football team ( ) represents Donegal in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Donegal GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Ulster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League. Donegal's home ground is MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey. The team's manager is Paddy Carr. Donegal was the third Ulster county to win an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC), following Cavan and Down. Eoin McHugh
Eoin McHugh (born 1994/5) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is the only son of James McHugh, a member of the team that defeated Dublin in the 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. His uncle Martin was also a member of that team. Playing career Club With his club Cill Chartha, McHugh won the 2012 Donegal Minor Football Championship. He scored six points in the final and his use of both feet in executing these scores during a man of the match display was praised in the press. McHugh won the 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship. It was the first time his club had won the title in 24 years. Inter-county McHugh was an "experiment" of Jim McGuinness during the 2013 Dr McKenna Cup, with McGuinness giving him his debut in a defeat of St Mary's at MacCumhaill Park. Paul Durcan (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul Durcan (born 22 April 1984) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and coach who plays as goalkeeper for Drumcliffe–Rosses Point and the Donegal county team. A member of the Donegal county team (senior) since 2004, he has also played soccer for Finn Harps in the League of Ireland. Durcan has won two All Stars, one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, three Ulster Senior Football Championships (2011, 2012 and 2014) and one National Football League with his county. Until transferring to Ballyboden St Enda's in 2015, Durcan played his club football with Four Masters, with whom he won a Donegal Senior Football Championship in 2003. Galway County Football Team
The Galway county football team ( ) represents Galway in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Galway GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. Michael Boyle (footballer)
Michael Boyle (born 1986/7) is an Irish sportsperson and Gaelic football coach. He plays with his local club Termon and also, formerly, for the Donegal county team. Educated at St Eunan's College in Letterkenny, he was his county's number one goalkeeper in the past, though Paul Durcan had something to say about that. Boyle has also played soccer for Finn Harps in the League of Ireland. Playing career College Boyle studied Sports Science and Health at Dublin City University (DCU). Boyle won the Sigerson Cup twice in 2010 and 2012 with the DCU GAA team. He was goalkeeper on both occasions, on the team that beat UCC in the 2010 final and the team that beat Maynooth in the 2012 final. Highland Radio is the local radio service for the County Donegal (North) franchise, operating under a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI). Headquartered at the Mountain Top in Letterkenny, the station broadcasts throughout a large swathe of Ulster (especially West Ulster), with it being received in the nearby city of Derry and in much of the rest of County Londonderry, as well as in large parts of County Tyrone and County Fermanagh, and in parts of County Antrim. Dermot Molloy
Dermot Brick Molloy (born 199?) is a Gaelic footballer who plays forward for Naomh Conaill and also, formerly, for the Donegal county team. With a half-century of appearances for his county, he played for Donegal in two All-Ireland senior finals. A fixture in the Donegal teams of the Jim McGuinness era, Molloy won an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 2012 and three Ulster Senior Football Championships, in 2011, 2012 and 2014. Mark McHugh
Mark McHugh (born 22 August 1990) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and coach who plays for Cill Chartha and, formerly, the Donegal county team. He is the brother of Ryan and the son of Martin. He won one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (2012) and three Ulster Senior Football Championships (2011, 2012 and 2018) with his county. Playing career Club In his early career, McHugh admitted his club did not have many big games. He won the 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship, scoring the opening point in the first minute of the final.
