2015 Cleveland Browns Season
The 2015 season was the Cleveland Browns' 63rd in the National Football League, their 67th overall, and the second and final season under the head coach/general manager tandem of Mike Pettine and Ray Farmer. Both Pettine and Farmer were fired on January 3, 2016, after the team failed to improve on their 7–9 record from the previous season, going 3–13 season, tied with the Tennessee Titans for the worst record in the league. The Browns introduced new uniforms prior to the start of the season, updating the orange color to a darker hue, among other changes. Offseason Personnel changes On January 8, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan left the Browns due to disagreements about the quarterback Johnny Manziel's readiness to start. Mike Pettine
Michael Mark Pettine (born September 25, 1966) is an American football coach who currently is an assistant head coach for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2014 to 2015, and has also served as the defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Green Bay Packers. Playing career Pettine earned all-state honors as a quarterback and defensive back at Central Bucks High School West. The head coach was his father, Mike Pettine Sr., who is renowned in Pennsylvania for compiling a record of 326–42–4 in 33 seasons and winning four state championships. Johnathan Paul Manziel ( ; born December 6, 1992) is an American football quarterback for the FCF Zappers of Fan Controlled Football (FCF). Tashaun Gipson
Tashaun Gipson (born August 7, 1990) is an American football free safety for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wyoming, and signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. Early years Gipson was a three-sport star at Kimball High School in Dallas, playing football and basketball while also running track. Sione Fua
Sione Fua ( ; born June 15, 1988) is a former American football nose tackle. He was drafted in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, after playing three seasons at Stanford University. Fua is of Tongan descent. High school career A native of the San Fernando Valley, Fua attended Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California. He did not play football until high school, but quickly became the varsity's best two-way lineman. Axel Edward Brian Hoyer (born October 13, 1985) is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). Johnson Bademosi (born July 23, 1990) is an American football cornerback and special teamer who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Miles Jonathon Austin III (born June 30, 1984) is an American football coach and former wide receiver who is the wide receivers coach for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL).
