2015 Challenge Tour
The 2015 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2015 season. Challenge Tour Rankings ''For full rankings, see 2015 Challenge Tour graduates.'' The rankings were titled as the Road to Oman and were based on prize money won during the season, calculated in Euros. The top 15 players on the tour earned status to play on the 2016 European Tour. Nacho Elvira
Ignacio "Nacho" Elvira Mijares (born 17 February 1987) is a Spanish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Elvira played college golf at Texas A&M University where he won one event and was a two-time All-American. Professional career Elvira played on the Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, finishing 104th and then 14th. He won his first title in 2013 at The Foshan Open in China, and finished 14th in the Order of Merit to gain a place on the 2014 European Tour. After a mediocre 2014 European Tour season in which he finished 121st, he returned to the Challenge Tour for 2015, where he won three times to earn an immediate return to the European Tour. Since 2016 he has played on the European Tour. He lost a playoff at the 2016 Trophée Hassan II to Wang Jeung-hun. Max Orrin
Max Orrin (born 13 May 1994) is an English professional golfer. Orrin was born in Margate, Kent. He played on the 2013 Walker Cup team, then turned professional in 2013. Orrin played on the Challenge Tour in 2014 and won the penultimate tournament of the season, the National Bank of Oman Golf Classic. Jack Senior (born 18 July 1988) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won twice on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Senior won the Egyptian Amateur in 2010 and the New South Wales Amateur and Lytham Trophy in 2011. Sébastien Gros (born 8 November 1989) is a French professional golfer. Gros was born in Villeurbanne, France. He turned professional in 2011 and played on the Alps Tour. He won on the Alps Tour in 2012 and 2013. He began playing on the Challenge Tour and Asian Tour in 2014. At the end of 2014, he played all three stages of the European Tour Qualifying School: he finished 32nd, just missing out on a place on the main tour, but earned a place on the Challenge Tour for 2015. The Saint-Omer Open is an annual men's professional golf tournament played at Saint-Omer Golf Club in Saint-Omer, France. The tournament was founded in 1997 and was part of the MasterCard Tour a year later, before taking its place on the Challenge Tour for the 2000 season. Jamie McLeary
James Robert Ewan McLeary (born 2 April 1981) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. Career McLeary was born in Peterhead, Scotland. In 2004 he represented Scotland at the Eisenhower Trophy and represented Great Britain and Ireland at the St Andrews Trophy. His team won the St Andrews Trophy and McLeary won the individual event as well. He played college golf at Odessa College and Baylor University in the United States. Daniel Jae Hong Im (born April 5, 1985) is an American professional golfer. Im was born in Wayne, New Jersey. He played college golf at UCLA where he won the Pac-10 Conference championship in 2006. Swiss Challenge
The Swiss Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, held in Switzerland, except in 2021, when it was held in France. History It was first played as the Credit Suisse Private Banking Open in 2000 and 2001 at the Golf Club Patriziale Ascona in Ascona. It replaced the Interlaken Open which ended after financial issues. During the course of the 2002 edition, the heavy rain led to the overflow of the Lake Maggiore and to the cancellation of the event. Following a four-year hiatus, the tournament returned in 2006 and was held at the Wylihof Golf Club in Luterbach through 2009.
