2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was an association football tournament that took place from 9 to 24 January 2015 in Jamaica. It determined the four CONCACAF teams that would participate at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Qualification Note: no titles or runners-up between 1998 and 2007. Bold indicates that the corresponding team was hosting the event. Venues In March 2014, Enrique Sanz invited nations to bid for the hosting rights of the tournament. The deadline for submissions was 14 April 2014. On 23 July, it was announced that Jamaica would be the host nation. New format Previously there were four groups of three teams during the group stage of the competition, each team played a minimum of two games and the previous format had a total of 20 matches. Hirving Lozano
Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena (born 30 July 1995) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Napoli and the Mexico national team. He is popularly known by his nickname Chucky. 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship Qualifying
The qualifying competitions for the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship were handled by two regional of CONCACAF's bodies; the Caribbean Football Union (Caribbean zone) and the Central American Football Union (Central American zone). Representative teams from Canada, Mexico and the United States automatically qualified for the final competition. The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (Central American Football Union), more commonly known by the acronym UNCAF, represents the national football teams of Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. 2011 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2011 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was expanded to 12 teams beginning in 2011. The tournament determined the four CONCACAF teams that participated at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Colombia. In addition, the top three finishers from Central America or the Caribbean, in addition to hosts Mexico, qualified to participate at the 2011 Pan American Games. The Executive Committee approved that for men's U-20 championships all three North American teams again qualified automatically for the finals. Central America received four berths, and the Caribbean received five. The new allocations give Central America one more berth than it had in 2009 and the Caribbean three more. On 1 September 2010 CONCACAF announced Guatemala as host of the championship, played from 3–17 April.
