2015 British Figure Skating Championships
The 2015 British Figure Skating Championships were held on 26–30 November 2014 in Sheffield. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior, junior, and novice levels. The results were among the criteria used to determine international assignments. 2014–15 Figure Skating Season
The 2014–15 figure skating season began on July 1, 2014, and ended on June 30, 2015. During this season, elite skaters competed at the ISU Championship level in the 2015 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Other elite events included the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final, and the inaugural ISU Challenger Series. Season notes Beginning in the 2014–15 season, the minimum age for senior Grand Prix and senior B events increased from 14 to 15 to match the minimum age for ISU Championship events. Another rule change allows single and pair skaters to use music with lyrics in competition. Previously, they were restricted to instrumental music, including vocals without words. Caitlin Yankowskas
Caitlin Yankowskas (born May 6, 1990) is an American retired pair skater. She competed for the United States with John Coughlin (figure skater), John Coughlin from 2007 to 2011. They are the 2010 Cup of China bronze medalists and 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2011 U.S. national champions. With partner Hamish Gaman, Yankowskas skated for the United Kingdom. They are the 2015 International Challenge Cup, Challenge Cup silver medalists and 2015 British Figure Skating Championships, British national champions. British Ice Skating (formerly the National Ice Skating Association) is the national governing body of ice skating within the United Kingdom. Formed in 1879, it is responsible for overseeing all disciplines of ice skating: figure skating (singles, pairs and ice dance); synchronised skating; and speed skating (including short track). Luke Digby
Luke Digby (born 5 February 2001) is a British figure skater. He is a three-time British National champion (2022-2024) in pair skating with Anastasia Vaipan-Law. Career Singles career Luke Digby was born in Sheffield on 5 February 2001. He began skating in 2007 at iceSheffield as a single skater. Digby participated at 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival, where he finished eighth and then went on to place sixth at the 2017 Volvo Open Cup. He competed at the 2017 Junior Nationals, placing fifth. Digby also won side-to-side Junior Nationals in 2018 and 2019. Steven Adcock
Steven Adcock (born April 26, 1995) is a British former pair skater who represented South Korea. With his former skating partner, Cho Hye-jin, he is the 2023 South Korean champion. Personal life Adcock was born on 26 April 1995 in Chelmsford, United Kingdom. He works as a coach. Career Early years Adcock started skating in 2001, first training in singles. Danielle Harrison
Danielle Harrison (born 15 November 1999) is a retired English figure skater. She won the British senior national title in December 2015. Personal life Danielle Harrison was born on 15 November 1999 in Basingstoke, England. The daughter of Pam and Mark Harrison, she is the youngest of four children. She attended Castle Hill Junior School and later Everest Community Academy. She now attends Harris High School in Dundee. Career Early career Harrison began taking skating lessons in March 2006. Graham Newberry (born June 7, 1998) is a British figure skater. He has won eight senior international medals, including gold at the 2017 Merano Cup, and is a four-time British national champion. Joseph Buckland
Joseph Buckland (born 27 October 1992) is an English ice dancer. With former partner Olivia Smart, he is a three-time British national junior champion (2012–14) and competed at three World Junior Championships, reaching the top ten in 2014. Olivia Smart (born 1 April 1997) is a British-Spanish ice dancer who most recently skated for Spain with Adrián DÃaz. With DÃaz, Smart was the 2021 Skate Canada International bronze medalist, a four-time Challenger Series medalist, and a three-time Spanish national champion. She represented Spain at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Hamish Gaman (born 20 April 1983) is an English former competitive pair skater. With partner Caitlin Yankowskas, he is the 2015 Challenge Cup silver medalist and 2015 British national champion. Since 2018, he has appeared on the ITV series ''Dancing on Ice''. Career Gaman competed with Rebecca Collett in the 2003–04 season. They appeared at one ISU Junior Grand Prix event, placing 11th, and at the 2004 World Junior Championships, where they finished 14th. Karly Robertson (born 14 November 1989) is a Scottish retired figure skater who represented Great Britain in competition. She is the 2018 Volvo Open Cup silver medalist, the 2019 Tayside Trophy silver medalist, the 2017 Skate Helena bronze medalist, the 2015 British national champion, and an 12-time British national silver medalist (2008-2014, 2017–2020, 2022).
