2015 Asian Baseball Championship
The 2015 Asian Baseball Championship was an international baseball competition that was held in Taichung, Taiwan from September 16–20, 2015. It was the 27th edition of the tournament. South Korea won the title. Japan previously won five straight gold medals in the tournament since 2003. Taichung (, Wade–Giles: ''Tʻai²-chung¹'', pinyin: ''Táizhōng''), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.8 million residents and is the second most populous city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, the second largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. Located in the Taichung Basin, the city was initially developed from several scattered hamlets helmed by the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. 2015 Asian Baseball Cup
The 2015 Asian Baseball Cup was an international baseball tournament contested by the men's national teams of WBSC Asia's member associations. It was the 12th edition of the biannual Asian Baseball Cup, and served as qualification to the 2015 Asian Baseball Championship. It was divided into two separate divisions, East and West, alternatively called the 2015 East Asian Baseball Cup and 2015 West Asian Baseball Cup.
