The 2014–15 Sunfoil Series was a first-class cricket competition held in South Africa from 25 September 2014 to 29 March 2015. Lions won the tournament for the first time after completing a 188 run victory in the final over against Dolphins cricket team in the penultimate round of the competition. Cricket South Africa (CSA) is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. In 1991, the separate South African Cricket Union and the South African Cricket Board merged to form the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB), ending enforced racial separation governance in South African cricket. Rory Keith Kleinveldt (born 15 March 1983) is a South African former cricketer. He made his international debut in a Twenty20 International against Bangladesh in Johannesburg on 5 November 2008. In January 2019, Kleinveldt announced his retirement from first-class cricket. Career During the 2008 County Championship Kleinveldt played for Hampshire. Between 2015 and 2018 he played for Northamptonshire. Kleinveldt was a star on the rise after he was named in the ODI squad to play Sri Lanka in January 2012, but he did not get a game before he was withdrawn with an injury. Two months later, he tested positive for marijuana and was immediately dropped from the Cobras' T20 campaign. Mohammad Yaseen Vallie, or otherwise known as Yaseen Vallie (born 30 July 1989) is a South African cricketer who plays for the Warriors. Career Vallie was selected to play for South Africa in the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup as an all-rounder. He took 5 wickets in the six matches he played in, as well as scoring 54 runs at a meager average of 13.50. Vallie signed up with the Western Province soon after the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup and made an impression as a reliable right-handed batsman as well as a partnership-breaking off-spin bowler. Andrew George Puttick (born 11 December 1980) is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer. He is the current batting coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team. International career A left-handed opening batsman, Puttick represented South Africa at the 1996 Lombard Under-15 Challenge Cup in England and the 2000 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. Dane Leeroy Piedt (born 6 March 1990) is a South African former cricketer. He played for the Cape Cobras. He made his Test cricket debut for South Africa against Zimbabwe in August 2014. Vernon Darryl Philander (born 24 June 1985) is a South African former international cricketer. He was a right-handed bowling all-rounder; he had previously represented his country at under 19 level.
