2014–15 Saudi Professional League
The 2014–15 Saudi Professional League (known as the Abdul Latif Jameel Professional League for sponsorship reasons) was the 39th season of the Saudi Professional League, the top Saudi professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1976. The season began on 8 August 2014 and ended on 18 May 2015. Al-Nassr were the defending champions having won their sixth title last season. The league was contested by the 12 teams from the 2013–14 season as well as Al-Khaleej and Hajer, who joined as the promoted clubs from the 2013–14 First Division. They replace Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nahda who were relegated to the 2014–15 First Division. On 10 May, Al-Nassr secured their seventh league title and second one in a row with one game to spare after a 1–0 win against derby rivals Al-Hilal coupled with Al-Ahli's 2–2 draw with Al-Taawoun. The Saudi Pro League (SPL for short) ( ar, دوري المحترفين السعودي, link=no, ''Dawriyy al-Muḥtarifayni as-Suʿūdī''), known as the Roshn Saudi League (RSL for short) for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of association football in the Saudi Arabian league system. Al Raed Saudi Football Club ( ''Nādī ar-Rāʾid'', "Pioneer Club") is a Saudi football club based in Buraidah, and the first of its kind in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. One of the club's notable founders is Abdulaziz Al-Aboudi. Established in 1954, Al Raed have played in the Saudi Pro League, the top division of Saudi football, since 2008. Al-Shabab Football Club ( ar, نادي الشباب), or The Youth Football Club, in English, is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Riyadh. It was founded in 1947, and was at first named ''Shabab Al Riyadh''. (), meaning Riyadhi Youth, but in 1967 was renamed ''Al Shabab''. History Al Shabab was the First football club in Riyadh. 2014–15 Saudi First Division
2014–15 Saudi First Division was the 38th season of Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season featured 11 teams from the 2013–14 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2013–14 Professional League: Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nahda, and three new teams promoted from the 2013–14 Saudi Second Division: Al-Feiha as champions and group B winner, Al-Safa as runners-up and group A winner and Al-Mojzel as Third-place play-offs winner. The league began on 15 August 2014 and was ended on 20 April 2015. Al-Qadisiyah won the title and promoted to 2015–16 Professional League plus Al-Wehda as runners-up. Al Nahda ( ar, نادي النهضة) is a Saudi football club from Al-Khobar, Dammam. They currently playing in the Saudi First Division. Al Ettifaq Football Club ( ar, نادي الاتفاق لكرة القدم) is a professional football club in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Al-Ettifaq was established after the merging of three clubs in the city of Dammam at the year 1944.
