2014–15 Kuwaiti Premier League
The 2014-15 Kuwaiti Premier League season was the 53rd season of the Kuwait Premier League, Kuwait's highest football league. The season saw 14 teams compete, with Kuwait SC being crowned as champions with an undefeated 20-6-0 record. Patrick Fabiano led the league with 22 goals. As the top two teams, Kuwait SC and Al-Arabi SC both qualified for the 2016 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup, an international association football competition between domestic Asian clubs. However, the teams were unable to participate due to the Kuwait Football Association's suspension by FIFA on 16 October 2015. The ban was not lifted until 6 December 2017. Kuwaiti Premier League
The Kuwait Premier League (), known as STC Premier League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. Formed in 1961, Al-Arabi, Qadsia and Kuwait both hold the best record in the competition, having won 17 times. History The Kuwaiti league officially began in the 1961/62 season, after playing unofficially for eight years (played with group of clubs: "Ahli - Al Jazeera - Arabism - Gulf - Solidarity - Al-Qubali, Al-Nahda, Al-Sharqai, Al-Merqab, Al-Mawalim and Al-Taawon). Kazma Sporting Club ( ar, نادي كاظمة الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional association football club. Founded in 1964, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Premier League. Club history Naming The club is named after the area of Kathma. In 630 A.D., the battle of 'That Alslasil' took place in Kathma, which is located forty kilometers north of Kuwait City on the coast of Kuwait. 2016 GCC Champions League
The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), is an annually organized football league tournament for club of the Arabian Peninsula. The 2016 edition was set to be the 31st edition. On August 6, 2015 it was announced that the competition would be postponed until February 2016 due to the suspension of Kuwait from FIFA. Later in January 2016 it was announced that the competition would not take place at all due to a lack of sponsorship. The next edition would therefore be held in 2017. 2016 AFC Champions League
The 2016 AFC Champions League was the 35th edition of Asia's premier club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 14th under the current AFC Champions League title. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors defeated Al-Ain in the final to win their second AFC Champions League title, and qualified as the AFC representative at the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, their second appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup. Al Yarmouk (football Club)
Al-Yarmouk is a Kuwaiti professional sports club located in the district of Mishref. It was established on 28 February 1965 in Failaka Island and was the only Kuwaiti club to have been established outside mainland Kuwait at that time. The club was relocated to Kuwait after the 1990–1991 Gulf War, which resulted in the displacement of many inhabitants belonging to Failaka's island settlements. Therefore, due to inadequate facilities after the liberation of Kuwait, it was inevitable that the team had to move to a better and more sustainable location. Other reason for the relocation was due to insufficient means of transportation to Failaka Island for away matches during the regular season. Al Yarmouk is mostly famous for its football team, which gave rise to a plethora of talented Kuwaiti players during the course of its history.
