2014–15 Aston Villa F.C. Season
The 2014–15 season was Aston Villa's 23rd season in the Premier League and 27th consecutive season in the top flight of English football, as well as their 140th season as a professional football club. Villa participated in the FA Cup (reaching the final) and League Cup. The club was managed by Paul Lambert, until his sacking on 11 February 2015. He was replaced by Tim Sherwood on 14 February. Lambert's third season had seen a different approach in the transfer market, with him opting to buy players with experience as opposed to the previous seasons, where the club would sign young prospects. Villa started well, with a 1–0 victory over Stoke City. This was followed by a 0–0 draw against Newcastle United, a 2–1 win over Hull City and a 1–0 victory over Liverpool. Aly Cissokho
Aly Cissokho (, born 15 September 1987) is a French professional footballer who plays for Lamphun Warriors. He plays as a left back and has been described as a "sprightly left-back with good speed and stamina". Cissokho began his career playing for local clubs within his hometown, such as Blois Foot 41. In 2004, he signed with professional club FC Gueugnon and spent three years in the club's youth system before making his debut in the 2006–07 season. He spent only one season at the club and, in June 2008, signed with Portuguese club Vitória de Setúbal in the Primeira Liga. Philippe Senderos
Philippe Sylvain Senderos (born 14 February 1985) is a Swiss retired professional footballer who played as a defender. Senderos began his career at Servette, before moving to England as a teenager with Arsenal. He made 116 appearances over seven seasons with the North London club, and won the FA Cup in 2005. Following loans to Milan and Everton, he then moved to Fulham on a free transfer in 2010, where he played for four seasons. Senderos then had brief spells at clubs in Spain, England, Scotland, Switzerland and the United States. A full Swiss international from 2005 to 2016, Senderos won 57 caps and scored 5 goals. Ron Peter Vlaar (born 16 February 1985) is a Dutch former Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre-back. Vlaar came up through AZ Alkmaar, AZ's youth ranks. After making his professional debut, he played sparingly for two seasons before joining Feyenoord in 2006.
