Norwegian Television
Television in Norway was Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, introduced in 1954, but the first television program was only shown in 1958, and regular broadcasts did not start until 1960. Norske Talenter
''Norske Talenter'' (English: ''Norway’s Got Talent'', ''Norwegian Talents'') is a Norway, Norwegian talent show with a similar format to ''Britain's Got Talent,'' making it one of the ''Got Talent'' franchise programmes. The 16-year-old singer Erlend Bratland won the first series and Quick Style, a hip hop dance group, won the second series. The judges were music producer Jan Fredrik Karlsen, singer and actress Mia Gundersen and comedian/actor Thomas Giertsen. Skal Vi Danse?
''Skal vi danse'' is the Norwegian edition of the British television series, ''Strictly Come Dancing''. It is produced by Monster Entertainment and broadcast on TV 2 Jon Peder Olrud and Geir Bie were producers in the first season. The second and third seasons were produced by Ingvild Daae. The series premiered on TV 2 on January 15, 2006. ''Skal vi danse?'' in Norwegian means "shall we dance?" and the Dancing celebrities with professional dancers and companies are reviewed by a panel of judges and the TV viewers. Each pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer and the one with the fewest votes does not participate in the next round. The series has had high ratings in Norway, with an average of between 600,000 and 700,000 viewers. The record with 733,000 viewers on average in the season premiere was reached for the first program of series 4 (12 September 2008). Only the final episodes of each series have had higher numbers. Big Brother (Sweden And Norway)
The Sweden and Norway joint edition of ''Big Brother'' is a reality show shown on Kanal 5 in Sweden, and FEM in Norway, in which a number of contestants live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. It is based on the '' Big Brother'' series produced by Endemol. From 2000 on, seasons of Big Brother were shown in both Norway and Sweden and in both countries the show enjoyed very high ratings, so high that eventually the production teams of both began thinking about joining to make one Big Brother show for both countries. Idol (Norwegian TV Series)
''Idol - Jakten på en superstjerne'' is a television show on the Norwegian television channel TV 2, based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol''. The show describes itself as a "Search For A SuperStar". The contestants are first narrowed down to 100 contestants, and then down to 24-50 through several auditions and tests by a panel of judges. From this point on, the viewers decide who are in and who are out, and the judges limit themselves to commenting. TV viewers being what they are, the votes are based not solely on the singers vocal performance, but also on his or her looks, clothes, entertainment value, and other factors. The Voice – Norges Beste Stemme
''The Voice – Norges beste stemme'' (Norwegian for ''The Voice – Norway's best Voice'') is a Norwegian reality singing competition and local version of ''The Voice'' first broadcast as ''The Voice of Holland''. It started on 27 January 2012 and the final aired on 25 May 2012 on TV2. One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner. Format The series consists of three phases: a blind audition, a battle phase, and live performance shows. Four judges/coaches, all noteworthy recording artists, choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. TV3+
TV3+ is a Danish pay television channel owned by Viaplay Group. It has its origins in the youth-oriented channel ZTV and women-focused channel TV6 that were launched in the mid-1990s when Kinnevik invested heavily in new free-to-air channels. In April 1996, Danish ZTV was closed down along with Sportskanalen, and TV6 was replaced by a new channel called 3+. In the beginning, 3+ time-shared with TVG in the mornings, ZTV in the afternoon and Sportskanalen in the weekend, but eventually these channels closed down. Viasat Explore is a television channel owned by international media company, Viasat World LTD. The channel focuses on fishing, adventure, men at work and engineering. Viasat Explore is a 24-hour channel broadcasting in Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States. With headquarters in London, United Kingdom, the channel started its broadcast in the Scandinavian countries and after a few years expanded to many East European markets and the Baltic countries with subtitles. Viasat 3D
Viasat 3D was the first Swedish 3D TV channel and was launched on 27 December 2010. The channel was available to satellite subscribers through Viasat's digital on-demand set-top box and featured live football matches from UEFA Champions League, as well as streamed 3D video on demand movie content. History Viasat started to offer 3D TV content as of December 2010, rolling out its full linear 3D TV channel in August 2012. It was announced that Viasat would close its dedicated TV channel as of 15 January 2014 due to low interest from the viewers, but said 3D content would be available as on-demand service.
