2014 United States Senate Election In Colorado
The 2014 United States Senate election in Colorado was held on November 4, 2014 to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the State of Colorado, concurrently with the election of the Governor of Colorado, other elections to the United States Senate, elections to the United States House of Representatives, and various state and local elections. Incumbent Democratic Senator Mark Udall ran for re-election to a second term, but lost to Republican U.S. Representative Cory Gardner by a margin of 1.9 percent. As of , this is the last time that the Republicans have won a statewide election in Colorado, and the only time since 2002 that a Republican has won a Senate election in the state. This is also the last time the Republican candidate won Larimer County. Randy L. Baumgardner is an American politician who served in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 57th district from 2009 to 2013, and in the Colorado Senate from the 8th district from 2013 to 2019, as a member of the Republican Party. Baumgardner resigned after more allegations came out against him following an unsuccessful expulsion vote. Early life Randy L. Baumgardner was born in Bedford, Indiana, and attended Indiana University. KDVR (channel 31) is a television station in Denver, Colorado, United States, affiliated with the Fox network. It is simulcast full-time over satellite station KFCT (channel 22) in Fort Collins. The two stations are owned by Nexstar Media Group alongside CW owned-and-operated station KWGN-TV (channel 2). Studios and offices are located on East Speer Boulevard in Denver's Speer neighborhood. Robert Louis Beauprez (; born September 22, 1948) is an American politician and member of the Republican Party from the state of Colorado. Beauprez is a Colorado native and graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.
