2014 Texas Tech Red Raiders Baseball Team
The 2014 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University in the 2014 college baseball season. Texas Tech competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a charter member of the Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders played home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on the university's campus in Lubbock, Texas. Second year head coach Tim Tadlock led the Red Raiders, a former starting shortstop for the team during the 1990 and 1991 seasons. Tim Tadlock
Tim Tadlock (born December 21, 1968) is a collegiate baseball coach and former player. He served as head coach of the Grayson Vikings representing Grayson County College (GCC) (1997–2005) and the Texas Tech Red Raiders representing Texas Tech University (2013–present). Tadlock guided the Grayson Vikings to back-to-back National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I World Series titles in 1999 and 2000. In 2014, Tadlock led his alma mater to their first College World Series appearance and received the Skip Bertman Award, presented to the college baseball coach of the year by the College Baseball Foundation. Early years Tadlock was a two-time all-district baseball player while attending Denton High School in Denton, Texas. Howard College
Howard College is a community college in the U.S. state of Texas with its main campus in Big Spring and branch campuses in San Angelo and Lamesa. History Howard County Junior College was established in Big Spring in 1945. 148 students began lessons in September 1946, in the hospital wing of the former Big Spring Army Air Force Bombardier School (later Webb Air Force Base). Coronado High School (Lubbock, Texas)
Coronado High School is the second newest high school in the Lubbock Independent School District. Coronado, named for the Spanish conquistador and explorer Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, opened its doors in 1965 as the fourth high school in Lubbock, joining the list of Lubbock High, Monterey High and Dunbar High. Calallen High School
Calallen High School is a public high school serving grades 9–12. The school is located in the Calallen Independent School District in northwest Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. Background Calallen's name comes from Calvin Joseph (Cal) Allen (1859–1922), a prominent early rancher. Allen owned a cattle ranch on which the Calallen Independent School District is now located. Allen donated land to the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Rail Line as right-of-way; in exchange, the railroad agreed to place a depot on Allen's property.
